    Can't recall that.

Think Isaksen the Dane at Lazio said about finding a move to Scotland boring, as he'd just spent 12 months getting upto speed with living in Italy.

I agree he looks like a player, but not a chance should we be paying 13.5m for a guy who hasn’t even got a senior cap for his country yet and plays in a pretty poor league.

Get your point but let's be fair. He is 22 and Denmark have some pretty decent strikers.

With our financial constraints we have to gamble a little on potential sometimes. When it works, we get a good player and make decent profit eventually.

In reality, £13.5m isn't a huge some for a striker showing potential these days. If that's the man we have watched for ages and feel he is the right choice, then let's get it done. The money is there and we all know we have missed out on some belters over the years

I think Matt O'Riley only had a single cap for Denmark when we sold him to Brighton? Wouldn't read a ton in to that.

Brondby player at that price, gies peace.

He's no even a striker per se (should I have joined that to one word).

£2.5m take it or leave it and behave Brondby.

I think people underestimate prices from the Danish league tbh.

Copenhagen sold their striker for 20 million Euros after one good season, Midtjylland sold Isaken (who we were after) for 12 million euros the season before and Copenhagen sold their winger for 15 million euros the season before.

£13 million, to me, is more of a "* off" price from Brondby, but it won't be miles away from that if a fee is agreed this window, it'll be between £8 and £10 million, they'd probably get close to £15 if they kept him until the summer but if he wants to leave, he'll likely force their hand.

I'm not even convinced we are in the hunt for Kvistgaarden. But there are some on here with a real hard on for him, but with little to back it up.

The fact we are rumoured to be exploring loans for both Ferguson and Osula would seem to confirm that.

Aye if he keeps scoring at his current rate, but if he falls back to his kinda shittier stats prior they won't be getting anywhere near that.

Tbh I ain't fussed at all and for that money I'd be swerving.

    He's a winger come striker.

I’ve never been sold on him.

    Far more value elsewhere.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that if the manager wants him and Brondby are willing to do a deal, we will pay £13.5m if that is what it takes.

We paid £11m for a guy around the same age who had played less than 50 senior games. This guy has shown he has quality

Jusr checked that Erabi from Hammarby in Sweden too. Leeds were linked with him for £9m in the summer.

Market has altered big time even in those nations. We'd probably have to have paid that price for someone like Johansen now for example if we wanted them.

    Changed days.

Copenhagen have been a far better team than us in Europe over the last 10 years, so convincing players to come from them (or even Midjytlland) is probably near impossible.

The likes of Kvistgaarden, who is at a smaller club, are still attainable but the price is high for a reason, it's, by far, the best Scandinavian league and it's not even close

I wasn't sold on him at first but any write ups and footage suggests he'd suit us down to the ground.

The loans for the players you mention scream back up plan/paper chat. Or in general, nonsense rumours.

Osula I don't know why anyone would be more excited than this. He's scored about 8 professional goals and is a year younger. Albeit has been in England for a while but still. He'd probably cost the same if nit more on a loan to buy.

I'd take him but only if we didn't have Idah for example.

Something like 52 goal involvements in 5932 minutes for the senior team all at the age of 22.

I'd argue that £9mill on Idah even with his success on loan originally is a bigger financial risk.

If there is any truth to our interest in this lad... Will be interesting to see how it pans out for sure

Kvistgaarden is better than EPL loanees, but I guess Rodgers might think otherwise.

There is nothing to suggest that Kvistgaarden is better than English loanees.
Ferguson is rated at £60M and Osula, Eddie Howe splashed out £10M for. Kvistgaarden is more of a converted winger, with no caps for his country and comes from a dull league, and they want £13.5M for him, that would be daylight robbery for a player with such credentials.

We shouldn't really be judging players on the league they come from considering the snobbery we face when selling players
