    I do wonder about the validity of the report (Polish guy I think) that Anthony Joseph’s story seems to stem from. There’s no way we’ve pulled out of signing an attacking midfielder/winger because we’ve managed to sign a more defensive midfielder, especially when Rodgers has clearly stated we need two.

    If we have pulled out, and given that the MLS/LA have been difficult with us for the last week or so (since LA won their semi final) and seemingly moved the goalposts with regards to the fee, I think one of two things has happened; (a) we’ve stepped away in the hope that the player kicks up a fuss and demands the move; or (b) something else has come out of the woodwork that Rodgers sees as better value.

    Agree again I don't think his view of things is correct. I think it's just an outsider putting 2 and 2 together given the Engels link and not knowing the context e.g. Rodgers wanting 2.

    We have to hope that something else has come up or if that isn't the case, we at least have other options. I'd like to think that surely we have other options than just him.

    We'll get a good look at him against Scotland. And Croatia. That way we will see how he could have performed for us. Instead of MSL teams that give him all that space that doesn't happen in any other league.

    But over 10m for a guy in the mls who hasnt really done * all outside one season in the USA is kinda taking the *.

    If it was two seasons, or three, or maybe a good showing in Europe for a decent team then aye, more to go on.

    But naw.
