I agree but I think the likelihood of the board sanctioning a further £5m move for an 18 year old winger from Sweden with less than 18 professional games under his belt would likely be a step too far, especially when the overall spend this window could be close to £40m.

Not disputing we can afford it, or the continuation of accepting strong fees for players out of the squad. I know all that. I just think that, for the money, Sanches would be a better option to bring into midfield with Toure covering your wingers. 3 players in for the price of 2, basically.

 

£40m would still be a net negative spend Im pretty sure, or at least close to it.

One drops out for Bogusz he can play more out and out attacking when we are playing domestically at home or chasing a game in Europe. He can also play out wide . It's called options/depth. That's before we get injuries also which will happen . Holm loaned out Yang moved on .

I'm not panicking about where the guy is. These things can all be done without the actual physical presence of the player. We didn't have Ange in Glasgow before he became manager for example. Kyogo was still in Japan when his signing was announced too.
