There’s VVD casual and there’s Bitton casual. Hope he’s the former of the two.

I’m sure people already questioned him after the slack pass on Saturday. There’s always a couple of negative * in here.

No way you can say that he's played hardly any football this season even before he signed for us..

Seems strange he wasn’t involved. Must have picked up another injury.

Brendan decided not to fling him in when he’s played very little football for a year or so, I assume anyway. hE’s fit.

Then that begs the question of why not put him on the bench? Somethings a bit off on this one - maybe it is something as simple as your suggestion, maybe not.

He’ll start the next game and there’ll be nothing to worry about. He’s barely played any football and is just back from injury. Hendry got picked before him and considering Hendry’s performance wheb he came on, do you feel that decision cost us at all?

Boyata hadn't played in a month and got a start. To be fair, i was fairly impressed with Hendry - he didn't try to be fancy and just got the basics right.

Don't think there's anything to worry about with him. He'll get games.

If he is fit it was admittedly a bit strange that he wasn't in the squad whatsoever. Especially having played last week and spoke about the game in the press etc.

Throwing Boyata back in, despite his experience of the game, after 6 weeks out, was probably a bigger risk.

Boyata is a player Brendan knows and (probably wrongly) trusts. Who has played in his team extensively, who has played and excelled in these games before, who hadn’t played in 6 weeks.

Compper has barely trained with us due to injury, barely played the full year before he came to us, who’s only experience of Scottish football never mind a Celtic - Rangers game has been Morton.

Two completely different situations. Comppers time will come.
