Hopefully we can cancel the transfer now as it isn't official until January 1st. No place for this in football, sport, larger society, or intergalactic society.

I think he's actually needed domestically, never mind Europe..

He is lucky there wasn't a game of football being played when he said that. Somebody would claim he was aggressively promoting Catholicism.

Cant wait to see ‘I am a Catholic, so I am a better fit for Celtic.’ on a plaque inside the stadium.

Sounds very assured and calm , no boasting or big headedness , any more laid back and he will be playing in his slippers

We needed a CB, he's been chosen. Can't wait to see him in green and white.

Does this mean that we're not in for the reading captain anymore? I hope not because he looks class.

Beautiful stuff, though taking pride in being a Catholic is pretty much a sin and it's not just with the Huns either.

Saying this stuff will sadly get criticism even from supposed Tims, though it's like the same clowns would have ago at Boruc for blessing himself.

Anyways, enough of that, good to have him here, we desperately needed a centre-back.

This has probably all been said but the guy was a major part of Leipzig getting promoted then he was a main stay of the second best team in Germany last season. How anyone can question this deal is mental.

We have been crying out for an experienced CB now we have one.

Would have thought if we were in the market for an ageing centre back who wasn't getting games we could have found one that could actually play for us in our European campaign.

I took it as “I am Catholic, so I am a better fit for Celtic because its supporters do not uphold a centuries’ long tradition of anti-Catholic sentiment”, but I am sure that some of our ‘fans’ will condemn it on social media:

“I’m a Celtic fan and I’m ashamed of this! Religion has no place in football. Like this post if you agree. #OldFirmFamily”

Really looking forward to seeing him play.
Haven’t seen him play before but everything I have read about him has been really positive.
