Strachan back at Celtic.......................* no. It be time to put the sharp objects away if he ever became our manager again. I'd rather give Tony Mowbray a second chance.

Not a chance would I want Strachan back.

I agree with Marky about Mowbray ahead of Strachan too, at least Mowbray tried to play football and tried to create something.

As for O'Neil, I definitely would, but I don't want him to leave Ireland either.

    No chance.
Most overrated Celtic manager in history.
He's retired now, or if he isn't - he should.

    Stick with Lenninho.

Mowbray over Strachan? Did ye forget to take yer meds before posting this? :icon_mrgreen:

One is the manager of a decent level international team, and the other is enjoying his gardening.

    1) In terms of being rated higher than he should be? Strachan did better than him yet gets nowhere near as much praise, for just one example. O'Neill was a good manager, key word being good. Never "saintly" or world class like many make him out to be.

    2) lol. cool story bro.

    3) Lenninho is our manager.

Hold on, when O'Neil came in as manager Rangers had won 11 of the last 12 league titles, the circumstances were a * of a lot different than when Strachan came in.

Surely you could have said "Strachan is underrated compared to the adulation that O'Neil gets" than this "O'Neil is the most overrated manager in Celtics history" nonsense.

Who could have seriously predicted O'Neil getting us to a UEFA Cup final beating the likes of Liverpool along the way when he initially took over, just three years in the distance?

Who could have predicted him having the unbelievably instant impact that he had.

Also he was unlucky not to have won more, the UEFA Cup final aside, in 2003 we were desperately unlucky not to have won the league that year. Same in 2005 in when Bellamy (I believe) had glorious chances to get a goal and win us the league that year.

What he achieved in his 5 years here is nothing short of miraculous considering the baron years we had (minus 98) before he came in.

Its just daft even trying to compair MON and WGS different teams different players different budgets and different Zombies to bash.
But i think MON coming back would be a mistake, wouldn't do so well on today's budget.

Me too Sean, whats the fecking score with you people, bad mouthing Neil Lennon all the time ? Aye, ah can expect to see, and hear Celtic fans criticising our Manager when the team has lost 3 or 4 games on the trot, but thats no the script here, is it ? Neil Lennon, has done a fantastic job for us, since he stepped into the Managers seat. How many titles and cups has he won for us since his appointment ? How many players has he brought in for virtualy heehaw, and sold on for big money ? And before anybody pipes in, ask yourself this. Do you honestly think Lenny, didnt want to players like Wanyama, Hooper, Wilson, Ki, etc. Think of the elevation keeping these players, would have given N.L. in his role as manager. Think of the fecking team, we would have had :ynwacelti

I'm in the group who would prefer he didn't come back, but that is rather harsh.

Who are you to decide if he should retire or not? he's still getting offered work and so has the right to take anything that comes his way.
