Love Mark Wilson. Always rated him highly as a player and a person. Was instrumental in last season's campaign and hardly put a foot wrong, was just tragically unlucky with injuries. Kept his head down and played for the club he loved. Really am devastated he's leaving, and it was a real classy touch giving him the captain's armband in his last game. Really hope he goes and finds success with whichever club he goes to.

Sad to see him go, i loved him. Wish him all the best in finding success somewhere else, but i would have liked if we kept him for at least one more year, cant remember the guy ever having a bad game. I think he will end up back here as a coach or scout or something. All the best Mark.

Would like to add my praise to the man as well.

I always thought that he was a great right back. Not as talented and skillful a footballer as Hinkel, Matthews etc. but what he lacked in ability he made up in effort. Always gave 100% and that is all we ask as supporters.

Last year was his best year in the Hoops and he scored a few goals as well.

A real Celtic fan who lived his dream and sadly it is now over.

As someone earlier said, he is always welcome at Paradise.

Shame. Still out best RB IMO but he has had some knee cartilage condition since his Dundee United days. Still, he has gained 4? titles and played in a couple of CL last 16 runs. Not many players can say that

Lustig needs game time before joining up with Sweden.

A great servant to the club and it's always sad to see someone of his caliber leave. He's given us some of the best years of his playing career and he goes with our best wishes and many thanks.

Sad to see Mark go as he has been a Celtic man and stalwart with the club for years. Probably one of our best right backs in recent times, and he could do a good shift at centre back and left back too.Bedevilled with knee injuries which had cost him a yard in pace, and once that happens it is extremely difficult to recover again on the same knees.

A fully fit, and on form, Mark Wilson was better than both Hinkel and Matthews in my opinion. I'm going to miss Wilson, he's one of my favourite players in the current squad.

It is sad to see Mark moving on but it was great that he got to have the kind of send off a true Celt such as he is deserves by being Captain and leading us to a win in his final game at Celtic Park. Where ever he ends up playing next season I hope it works out well for him. A big thank you for all that you did for Celtic during your 6 years playing for the club.

This is a real shame. I always think it's important to have Scottish players in the squad, and even better if they are boyhood Celts - because they know what it's all about.

Wilson has plenty of experience of playing in this League, and has featured a fair bit in Europe. He can play all across the defence, too.

If it wasn't for his injury record there'd be no way he was leaving. Very reliable option. If we keep Cha ahead of him I'll be disappointed.

Nevertheless, good luck to him and all the best finding a club. At least he has a winner against Rangers to tell the grandkids about.

Don't know if he'll leave the club altogether, but his playing days with Celtic are definitely finished. If he is planning on actually retiring, he may go into some coaching role with us.

lennons said he wants to continue his career so retirement is definitely off the table just now. so he won't be back in a coaching role unless something bad happens which hopefully doesn't happen

Must say I'm surprised. Last season was his best season in the Hoops and he is a better player than both Lustig and Cha.

I know he's had injuries, but at the end of the day he is fit now and worth a short-term contract for me.

Pretty sad for me, good luck son.

We have an option to extend his current contract and I'm sure Mark would take a reduction in wages so its a shame to see him go. I imagine he'd be a good guy to have in the dressing room too and would always back Lennon.
