Mark Wilson

I really like Matthews and Cha, don't rate Lustig so far but hope he'll prove me wrong. But I'd like to keep M.Wilson. When our wingers could not play than we could simply put Cha or Matthews on the right wing and play M.Wilson on RB. He also played CB and LB some time ago. Good player. Sad that he'll be gone.

I really like Mark Wilson and I'm gutted to see him go.

However, this is a massive signal of intent. Our club has been FAR too loyal to players over the years, with MON the worst for it. This shows that we are striving to improve constantly.

 

Tbh from what I've seen so far, I'd rather have kept Wilson than play Lustig.

 

I seriously want to give him a testimonial

mark wilson has been an excellent servant to the club.

whether used at RB, LB or at times CB, he's always taken to the task well and never complained when played out of position. an excellent RB and would have had alot more appearances and goals if his celtic career hadn't been so stop start with injuries.

will forever hold him dear to my heart for his excellent season last year where we had some absolutely terrific moments that mark played a huge part in.

hopefully the lad can stay fit and find himself a decent club to get regular football. all the best mark lad, you are one of us and therefore will never walk alone

Wilson was a good signing by Strachan and should have been even better if he wasn't hampered by injury. Funnily enough, I still feel he's the best RB at the club as well.

 

Good luck to him. I hope his injuries don't curtail a successful end to his career.

Gutted he's leaving. This guy is one of the few players that would run through brick walls for our club. He's been a loyal servant to the club, thanks and all the best Mark!

 

We have a pretty poor history when it comes to giving players a good send off. I say we have a banner for wilson on the last day against hearts, sing a song or two about him.

 

Good luck to him. Been a good servant for the last few years but been so unlucky with injuries. Will never forget his Old firm winner

 

Absolutey gutted to see him go especially after seeing him play like he did last night. I haven't read the full thread, was this Lenny's or his decision? I'm guessing it was mutual decision but I'll be extremely * off if it was the clubs and we end up keeping Cha. Willo has been a credit to the club and himself since he joined, be good to see him back with us one day in another capacity. Until then, I hope he stays free from injuries for the rest of his career.

 

I always feel really saddened and at a loss when players like Mark Wilson leave the club. A player who you know that if he were not on the pitch would be next to you on the terraces singing his heart out. He maybe never be classed as one of the greatests but he played his heart out for Celtic as much as any of them.

Wish him every success for the rest of his career and hopefully comes back to paradise in some capacity where he belongs.

I'd like to see him get an opportunity at a decent Championship club. He's the right side of thirty, isn't he? If he stays fits he's an extremely reliable and decent defender.
