Tilio looks a fairly heavy set player for a winger anyway, I thought. Not really lean, the kind who will take a while to get up to speed at the best of times.

Strain and Baccus are first on the team sheet at St Mirren, Hearts have several Aussies and Hibs have got three (although Boyle doesn't count have grown up in Scotland). They're all playing regularly and for the most part doing well. There was a short adjustment period in most cases but none came in injured like Tilio.

Compare that with Celtic and you've got Rogic who took ages to adjust, Arzani also took a couple of months to break in, and then broke down, Mooy took a while to get up to speed (although came from doing * all in China for six months) and now Tilio. All of them NT players although Tilio and Arzani fringe. It may well be the intensity of training at Celtic in comparison with the other clubs.

I find it hard to believe the Australians are fundamentally less fit or have a poor attitude towards training/elite sport lifestyle. One of the most sport and fitness obsessed nations on the planet.

The step up in quality from A-league explains Rogic/Arzani/Tillio early struggles and Mooy always struck me as not that naturally fit, always took him a few games to get back up to speed after any time out.

We definitely do have a sports science department at the club.

This Tilio is looking like the Arzani signing all over again

So you're predicting he'll do his ACL on debut?

This guy was injured before he signed ffs :giggle2::giggle1:
Seriously though he looks tiny n quite lightweight. I’ve only seen him in one game against Ayr in like a friendly with the B team though tbf which I wouldn’t really judge him on but in that he went to ground a few times from challenges n seemed a bit too lightweight. Hoping it was just rustiness and he’s gonna be good as I was excited about him when we signed him. Doesn’t seem to be in the plans right now though

Does he even exist? I know he got injured but it's shocking that he still hasn't featured. I mean he signed nearly 4 and half months ago, ffs.

Originally I was underwhelmed like * by this signing (felt the same with the majority of our summer signings). But I remember thinking he does have a bit of the Paddy Roberts about him, so he might be an asset.

But now I'm thinking * again. He looked overweight when he signed. I'm hoping he comes good ASAP because we'll definitely need another option with Maeda out. Relying on a past it Forrest and an erratic Yang to deliver the goods gives me the fear.

Do you ever read * you write back to yourself and wonder * you’re on about. Read the first sentence, did you want him on injured?

Must be lies as all the happy clappers in here had him down as someone who could be depended on to help out immediately.

Starting to look like, as many suspected, he’s miles off it.

It’s only a whatsapp rumour so like I said take it with a pinch of salt. But not making match day squads tells its own story.

Would try and get Tilio and Kwon loaned out to teams in Scotland even if it's the Championship..

Better to have a look at them before writing them off totally..

Seems like it would be ridiculously harsh to write a player off after two sessions when he’s back from a long term injury? How could he possibly be up to the pace of the rest of the squad?

My bad. Doesn’t bode well then if he’s still miles off it.
