    According to Sky he's away to Porto to finalise a deal, apparently we couldn't match their bid.

    Hope it's a lot of * and he comes to us, would be a real coup.

    but will we spend over 4m for him? we were supposed to do it last year on diawara but some excuse popped up about us no gettin him! will the same happen with janko though?

    10:12 GMT Wayne Veysey with some more European news: "Things are not just starting to pick up in England. It is the same on the Continent, too. I am told that Austrian Marc Janko is on a plane to Portugal right now to join Porto from FC Twente for £4.2million.

    "The giant striker, who has attracted strong interest from Celtic among others, is believed to have said his goodbyes to staff at Twente yesterday. He goes with a prolific scoring record. Janko has scored 34 goals in 65 games in his one-and-a-half seasons at the Dutch club, who are second in the Eredivisie."

    Well it's hardly surprising is it?

    Who honestly thought we could afford him in the first place? 4.2 million is probably more than double our annual TV revenue. We couldn't even afford Marc Janko's wages if he was on a Bosman.

    Probably cause they are used to a higher class of player. To go from guys like Derlei, Lisandro, Falcao and others down to a Janko who it seems although a goalscorer is a lazy and clumsy player is quite a step down.

    Translates to: And also that marc janko still not to FC Porto here and that is about to offer Celtic also on the simply on fc Twente.

    Celtic still have a chance to finalise a deal.

    Where is that from?

    Worth a shot but if it boils down to a choice between Celtic and Porto we will definitely lose out. No sane minded foreigner would choose * Scotland over Portugal, especially when it's a huge club like Porto involved.
