Us Celtic fans love a scapegoat.

I like him as well, I think his problem is that he's not the type of player that we were desperate for so many fans were against him from the start, coupled with the fact that he was TM's marquee signing then there are some fans he'll never convince. That doesn't make him a bad player, just means that many fans will be against him and just looking for an excuse to have a go.

I think he could do a good job for us, as long as he's partnered with the correct strike partner.

Nope, just didnt cut it for me this season. Expected alot more of him for nearly 4 million. That is far too much money for us to be playing for the return that he has offered. Keane, Samaras and Ras would all be ahead of him next season if all are still here. Has been a massive disappointment imo.

With the right partner he could flourish, I think if anyones to leave it should be Samaras, although punting Sammy out on loan would be a good idea hopefully, it could gain him confidence and he could be like the player he was when he was on loan from Manchester City.

i would give him another chance, think the £4mil price tag made us
expect more and even he thought this league would be easier.
what we paid for him and scott brown seems as if we have yet
    to get any return.

I like him as a player but I think it is always a problem in a 4-4-2 if one of your strikers in a poor finisher even if he is otherwise a good player. Most of our success has been based on 2 natural strikers over the last few years Skippy-JVOH Hartson-Magic Henke-Sutton etc. I think these odd winger-*-strikers who are useful players but not good finishers like Fortune, Sammy, Deeks, Kenny Miller etc are difficult to utilise. What we really need is a pair of natural finishers who also have an extra attribute each like pace or strength or aerial power but our spending power is the problem.

Problem is people think '4 million is a lot' but when their are English teams also interested in the player that bumps the price way up and by English standards that is the sort of fee that small teams can pay and very modest and fairly ordinary players exchange hands for that sort of money. We can no longer expect to get especially good players for 4 million unless they are under the English scouts radar. That is one of the reasons why a big name English manager may not be what we need and someone like Levein with an amazing eye for a good player that is below the English radar may be more appropriate for a side like us.

Two assists from Fortuné today. I've only seen the goals, just back from football.

Other than the two passes for the goal and pen, how did he do?

he,s better playing out wide or behind the strikers.
better nxt year or sell him,,instead of getting no cash back on a 3.8 investment.
    he was good today
