5 goals in 17 starts, hardly orgasmic material :31:

For WBA though. Thats not too shabby.

Beattie scored about 7 in 17 and that was considered a masterstroke of a signing.

Need to look at it in context mate.

5 goals though mate in 17 games why are we even considering players like this ?

Why not offer a few mill more and get a guy whos scored at least 10 goals in 17 games or a similar strike rate. We always seems to aim super low when it comes to signings. Plus West Brom want 3.4 mill for him now i heard, theres no way id pay that

why does that make it a no chance. I don't rate him but if he had the ability being northern irish shouldn't be a problem.

He's not owned by WBA, it's Nancy who he's contracted to.

No i wouldn't pay that either thats why I said i'd take a punt if it was £1m or something.

Personally i think he is the style we need. A bustling striker who can move around and cause problems.

Samaras doesn't have the strength, Jan is too slow. Hutch could do it imo, so i would rather let him get a run of games.

Hull City have made a £2.5million bid for Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune.

Tigers manager Phil Brown confirmed the offer for Fortune whose representatives will meet City chairman Paul Duffen to discuss personal terms.

The 27-year-old, who spent four months on loan last season with West Bromwich Albion, scoring five goals in 17 matches, has also been linked with Wolves and Celtic.

Fortune impressed Brown during his spell at the Hawthorns and the Hull manager said: 'Marc-Antoine Fortune is a player we're interested in. We have discussed terms with his club and I would say we're probably one of three serious contenders.

'We've done our business with his club and we remain hopeful.

'He caught the eye and captured everyone's imagination in the second half of last season.'

£2.5 mill is a wee bit better than the3.4 - 4mill that was getting talked about at least
