ill admit im gettin kind of frustrated with this whole thing. The transfer market is waaaay different then how things work in American sports so its not what im used to. Not only does a team have to agree to personal terms with the player they also have to agree to a fee to buy that player from his current team, * like that doesnt happen in American sports (maybe the NBA but thats rare)
Plus it seems like Celtic get linked to every * player on the planet and its frustrating when they dont sign ANY of them. O well ill get used to it

Tony wants this guy its clear he is the number 1 big player we are going to get this season , so he will wait for aslong as it takes as this is what he wants , so get a grip moaning about it aint gonna get this done any faster ,

Tranfers dont just happen over night , some takes days some take weeks , but in the end if he dont come good luck to the guys and lets hope Tony has another target ,

yea sure ill try my best. Ill use the NFL as the example, Basically if a team wants a player on another team they either have to wait until he is a free agent or they have to trade a player or a draft pick to get him. There is generally no money involved in the deal. So its harder for teams to just go out and get any player they want, they need to give up a piece of their team that is of equal value, they cant just throw money around. Theres alot more parity, theres no team like Real Madrid who can buy whoever they want.
Most players move when they are Free agents and their contract is up.
Also there is a Salary Cap, so teams can only spend a certain amount on players each year, so every team spends generally spends the same amount on their players salaries.
Its just different then how y'all do things, money only comes into play really when it comes to the players contract and wages, not between the 2 teams.

Interesting , can't see this ever being brought into football here but it would definitely stop teams like madrid and city cheating (imo) and signing any player that takes their fancy.

yea every major sports league in America (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) has drafts each year where teams draft players from College or High School, or in the case of the NHL from * teams or other countries teams. The draft goes in order of how the teams finished the previous year, with the last place team drafting first and so on. Teams can trade their draft picks for other teams players or they can bundle multiple picks to move up in the draft to get a player they really want. Im over simplifying it but thats how it basically works.
