Nancy.
The player wants to know if the club are going to firm up their interest, which manifested itself last week.
French sports newspaper L'Equipe reports that the 28-year-old, who was also targeted by Hull and Celtic is now biding his time.
However, should Pompey not follow up their interest it is expected he will join Celtic and re-join his old boss Tonty Mowbray.
Mowbray managed Fortune at the end of last season at West Brom, where he spent six months on loan scoring five goals in 17 games.
