    It comes across as clutching at straws to try and placate some fans by bringing back a legend (which is not always a good idea in itself) to "soften" the blow

    Yes man? He'll contractually have no input into transfer policy like Strachan, no manager was ever going to get it. So in essence, even Moyes would have been a "yes man" as Lawwell will dictate all the finances at Celtic.

    If Moyes was a yes man he'd have taken over by now. Clearly he wants an input into what hes buying and knows hes not going to have freedom hes got at everton just now.

I very much doubt chick "honestly im st murn fan" young has lawells number...im sure hes got murrys(on speed dial) but not lawells:shamrock:

    I think he would have a better informed opinion to the Chief Executive than 99% of any manager but I agree,

    financial expert look after the finances, football expert manages the team.

    How does a ex footballer with uefa coaching badges suddenly become a financial expert?

    Strachan was happy to leave it Lawwell's hands as he wasnt the expert in that field but of course, that makes him a yes man. :rolleyes:
