would welcome him back any day of the week. yes he left us to try his luck in the EPL but things didn't work out for him, he went too early. everyone makes mistakes.

the season he left he was keeping McGeady out of the team.

would rather have him back than have Harry Kewell thats for sure.

Would take him back for sure. competition on the wings, comes in with an injury and we already know he is a quality player.

Also he knows he has made a mistake and if he did come back i doubt he would leave as quick as he did last time.
Sure as * a better option then Harry "always injured" Kewell

i think he is still a good plyer and strachan knows how to use him. the thing im not sure about is whether strachan wants him back. he saw himself a smaloney's mentor and seemed insulted when he left. dont know whether he wants him back.

wouldnt pay more than £1 million and would offer him less wages than on the contract he was offered. better than splashing out on kewells wage demands.

 

*? you chancer!:icon_mrgreen: 1 ill for maloney is an insult. the only reason we let him go on the cheap was because he was gonna be out of contract, he's worth 4mill IMO and i'd give him 30,000 a week to come back. if gravesen and balde were given such big contracts then shaun deserves something similar.

 

seems a lot like donnelly in my opinion and would happily leave again. plus has hardly lived up to his value recently for scotland or villa. if we can get him on the cheap wouldnt you rather save money for other players.

you are kidding. Not having him was one of the reasons team 2 struggled. Him and Aidan are the best young players we have produced in 20 years.

 

Why are we even contemplating have shaun back? i personally loved the guy when he was at CP and then he thought he could earn a few extra pound notes down south. It hasnt worked out for him (same as miller) now he wants to come back to Scotland! We dont need him we have coped without him, why bring him back?

 

A bit harsh there mate.He is a decent player and I think he made a big mistake leaving us,which I think he realises now.

must admit i liked maloney.his head was turned by his agent regarding money.
if for example you were in a good job and another employer gave you double what you were earning what would you do ? i think i know your answer.
obviously we as celtic fans would play for them for nothing and cant get our head round why anyone would leave celtic. just remember charlie nicholas etc who done exactly as maloney.if he does come back give him a break and hopefully if he comes he will realise what this club means and what he missed out on and he will become an even better player.

 

Everyone makes mistakes.If hes big enough to admit it then we should be big enough to accept it and welcome him back.I personally dont think hes the star some are saying but for the right price, he would defo add competition and help strenghten the team imo.

bit harsh. remember he was a very young man easily swayed by money men and a better league than the spl and working with the messiah at villa.he did waver for weeks until he decided, wrongly,in my opinion of which direction to take.and as tommy burns so poignantly said "he will regret this decision"
