Well I didn't believe it but I thought in the UK a journalist wouldn't go as far as lying and saying he will be "joining his new teammates in the south"

It's the same in every country mate, there are 'good', 'respectable' papers and the 'rags' or tabloids who will print anything to create a stir. Lazy journalism is an apt way to describe it.

fed up with all this that game felt like a defeat with the away goal at the end patter bottom line was malmo were pish qarabak were a better side I know we will go and sit tight but I genuinely feel like we should go for the jugular again kill the tie off I don't fear them if anything we will be our own undoing this tenacious away approach worries me in a game like this we are capable of turning them over

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-10m-Virgil-van-Dijk-heading-Southampton.html

Reports suggest that Southampton had won the race to sign the 24-year-old Dutch defender in a £10million deal, and that consequently he would miss the second leg in Sweden to join up with the south coast club.

However, a spokesman for the Scottish champions told Sportsmail: 'The story is absolute nonsense and Virgil will play on Tuesday. We have no agreement with any club.'

I hope he scores the winner Tuesday and leaves with our blessing for 15 million.

If Ambrose plays Tuesday, Armstrong in front to give protection?

Aye and an invisible force field as well, just to be on the safe side.

Radio 5 (606 programme tonight) - Southampton supporters ( and Ian Wright ) moaning about how they buy players and end up having to sell them on to bigger EPL clubs!

Get it up ye! wankerzzzz. F'K'N pot and kettle!

If we do sell VVD it needs to be another club... We already look like the feeder club for a *-arsed over funded bottom-end-of-table English club!

And for more than 10 million ... They can all afford twice that right now.

Can you imagine if we had Henrick now! Theyd ALL want him, yet still think they could get him on the cheap ( well.. he's only playing in Scotland ! "Well why do you want him then?)

English football makes me sick right now... Clubs being able to gazzump each other with 21 million pound forwards just to stop the other having him.
That's equivalent to our prize for CL qualification. And we'll be lucky if Ronny gets 1/10 of that to spend.

According to the bookies - Malmo slight favourites to win the game but celtic big favourites to qualify (which doesn't make much sense considering the way the tie is set up).

I reckon we will blow them away on tuesday, looking at the highlights vs salzburg they rode their luck - salzburg were the much better side and i think our CB's would do better for the first and third.

    Southampton finished 7th last year.

And don't even try to compare VVD to Larsson :smiley-laughing002:

We need to sell players. These clubs know this and tbh I think Southampton have been fair in what they've given us the last couple of times, in terms of transfer fees.

I see the bookies have us at 1/2 to qualify with Malmo at 6/4.

Nerves are setting in already for this game

Whenever I even think about this game I feel ridiculously nervous and my stomach drops. Wish it was Tuesday.

I would happily be knocked unconscious right now and wake up on Tuesday at about 21:45, so I wouldn't need to think about or watch the game
