I tend to be the opposite from most on here, I dread the game all week and don't fancy our chances, the nearer kick off gets the more confident I become. 3-1 Celtic

I doubt you watch Celtic regularly never mind Efe.

Brown was guilty of worse than that, on more than one occasion, against Malmo.

Have we to be worried we're going to lose the game because Brown is playing?

This weak point has been stated at least 4-5 times in this thread. Does it really have to be explained again? He * up time and time again, no-one in our squad * up as consistently and blatantly as Efe Ambrose - that just can't be denied.

I'd counter that by saying that was a rarity for Brown and for the first-half and in the vast majority of games in recent seasons he has been excellent.

Sadly that type of mistake for Efe is almost habitual. The guy cannot concentrate.

Every thread just turns into Ambrose bashing, known for a few seasons he will have a moment during a game were he will * up, rarely causes a problem. The fact he has been singled out against United, Kilmarnock and Malmo when he hasn't been the only guilty party, not even the main problem. He's an SPL level player and decent back up, really think we could get better back up that would be happy to rarely play and be moved between RB and CB still be happy and try his hardest? Doubt it very much.

I was worried last week untill I saw them first hand, and watched a far superior team in every department frighten the life out of them. As the week has sailed in, they have been trying the old gamesmanship or what I'll call it, * thereselves at what we're bringing over and the confidence, oozing from our camp..

Take the game to this shower of * Celtic and at half 9 it'll be this little piggy in the Champions league and that little piggy watching in sverige..

Ambrose is frustrating, can be solid for 95% but then gives the ball way which to me seems to lead to a goal being scored, maybe doing him an injustice, but that is how it seems. He just looks dodgy.

Why are these * so cocky? They were * at Celtic Park and were lucky not to lose by 5 or 6. They showed absolutely nothing to suggest that they can beat us tonight, nothing.

Where did I say he doesn't have a fault? People make him out to be worse than he is always takes the blame and straight on his back as soon as he comes on the pitch, how the * will that help him?

I'll agree with you there, I don't get on his back when he comes on and makes mistakes as he's shown Deila enough for him to stop putting him in that situation.

Felt sorry for him walking off Tannadice at half-time, face tripping him. Solid for the majority of the whole half then one costly mistake.

At SPL level the likelihood is we'll score enough to render his mistakes irrelevant. But with the stakes so high in a game like this there's no way Efe should be playing. If Ronny makes that decision and it backfires, the blame will lie entirely with him.

You're the man who once said Lennon wasn't the right man for the job halfway through his first season. If anyone doesn't watch Celtic it's you.

On last weeks evidence I agree we are the better team however any team with Ambrose in it is an accident waiting to happen so my optimism is not as high as it could or should be. Ambrose lovers please do not retaliate I am only stating what 99% of people who understand football see, an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully we get away with it tonight but it will mean the rest of the team bailing him out I believe. To further compound my apprehension, although Boyata started the season reasonably well he has had a few 'Ambrose' moments himself of late and playing beside the bomb scare will not help him at all.

For the United game it was a daft tackle since him and Izzy were either side of him but the fact the guy got past 3 players and into the box unchallenged was bad enough, defence and midfield fell apart at that point.
He trusts Efe to do a job though, if Lustig isn't fit to start you have to think Efe will be better defensively than Janko since Berget has height but Janko will be a better attacking threat.
Ronny is showing a bit of faith in him which will give him a much needed confidence boost, look how well it worked with Forrest.
