Big part of why we're hopeless is we generally don't have a player that will attack through the middle of the field. Commons has the confidence and skill to do it, but not the pace. Johansen once in awhile- he took up a good position in the first leg, and was able to assist Griffiths for the first goal with a fantastic ball. But I'm talking about driving at the defense through the middle of the field (to be fair to Rogic, I think it's part of his game).

The guy most willing to do it, and does do it - though it's hardly something that should be asked of him - is Van Dijk. It can't be your CB!

After some time thinking about the game. A horrible decision to wipe that goal off considering it was their player that handled it and goals change games so who knows what woulda happened. However we've let 4 goals in two games against a team currently 5th in their league and 3 of those goals were from corners. In fact I think all their goals were from crosses. That's not good enough.

 

our movement is terrible its better at home but players very rarely swap their direction of attack which makes them easier to defend against especially when you go up a level or 2

biggest thing we suffer from is lack of good quality opposition week in and week out that tests us, this means we will have to be very lucky to go far in a euro tournament and ride our luck until we can build some momentum

then the downfall is once we start to compete well in europa or champions league our players are in the shop window and will be off as a result

i still think we could work better playing styles, the possession game we play a lot is good, but it is unnessecary in scotland, possession is good against the european sides, though we would do well to be able to increase the tempo of attack at times so we are not so one paced

Celtic park is dead now on match day and game against Malmö wasn't much better.
