I'm almost 100% sure that 17 year old done * all though, was basically told what to say by the police and is stuck in jail for life.

I've got far too much to say about something I watched less than an hour of and then read his wiki page.

I should watch it, I've just never liked crime doc's.

You wouldn't know it from my posts in here tonight though. :smiley-laughing002:

I'm not sure what happened and whether or not he is guilty. I feel he done something though. There is clearly foul play and gross incompetence on the part of the police.

There are things missing from the documentary and the entire series is weighted for him.

Regardless, there are unexplainable anomalies which makes it cut and dried IMO. No matter what anyone else brings to the table evidence wise. He could not have possibly killed Teresa Halbach.

Couldn't he have killed her elsewhere and the cops planted the evidence at his house?

Edit: I should say 'fake evidence'..

So the cops in their infinite wisdom cannot outfox a yokel with an IQ of 70 so instead of being able to catch the guy they instead have to plant fake evidence around his house to snare him as if he's some sort of super sleuth?

    Unfathomable.

This sort of stuff completely turned me against the death penalty.

You should watch it, as you said his family are speaking about him like he's a saint but if you watch it, his family are clearly all very dumb and it doesn't sound like many of them even like each other, really only his parents seem to like him the rest not really, some seem to dislike him aswell.

"He could not have possibly killed Teresa Halbach."

Based on the evidence, I don't see how that statement is true.

You don't have to be a genius to get away with murder. It's easy to think up scenarios where Avery could have murdered Teresa elsewhere and left only very weak evidence. I reckon it's also generally accepted that cops will plant evidence to strengthen a case against someone they know to be guilty. Avery's lawyers argued as much, and that may be what has happened in this case.

Even if it's not, there's nothing to support a statement like that.

Having watched the series, I don't know for sure if Avery killed Theresa Hallbach or not. All I do know is, that there is enough question marks over the testimony given, and enough suspicious circumstances to put his conviction in serious doubt.

It was weird that Brendans brother and the other guy (His Dad/Step?) matched exactly but was proven to be lies by the bus driver. Theresa's brother also seemed very very weird and shifty.

I thought this too, what was their reason to lie? not only about the time but the stepdad embellished his story about the fire too. One of the lawyers said it was suspicious too as only they were alibi's for each other. Didn't Steve say also he saw that once she left Brendan's bro left - apparently to go hunting.

I wonder as well if the police would offer them some money to lie about the sightings?

    The brother seemed strange.
The boyfriend or was he EX seemed strange.
The roommate was also a weird one as he didn't declare her missing for 4 days.

I wouldn't want to live with a flatmate that ran to the police if i didn't come home for 2 days. I think 4 is the earliest you get worried about these things to be fair.

Based on the documentary and the subsequent backlash to the evidence provided within it, I'm yet to see a valid and logical explanation to Avery killing Halbach. Is what I should have said.

It may turn out the guy is a genius and has duped everyone for decades.

Her ex bf looked guilty as * when the search party was out looking for her truck. Jumpy, defensive, paranoid.
