This is some game at London Stadium.

Yankees 17 Red Sox 13, bottom of the 7th.

Red Sox, 2 outs, runners on 2nd & 3rd base.

Mental.

 

Crazy numbers put up in what was a slugfest weekend down in London in both games. Sucks that the Stinkees won both of the games - but then again, they are that far ahead in thr AL E so far, hardly a surprise. Cards and Cubs hitters will be counting the days in the hope they can replicate it next year.

Commisioner has handed down the punishment for the Astros sign stealing. Including, amongst other things, GM & Manager suspended for a year, $5m fine & loss of draft picks.

 

Cora and Beltran are also out as Managers of the Red Sox and Mets after being implicated

 

Don't think this is the last will be hearing of this either...

Reports that Bregman, Altuve & possibly Reddick also now being embroiled, for wearing vibrating patches on their bodies that were activated to inform them of pitches from stolen signs during 2019. Which is not beyond the realms of possibility, because if players have cheated before, on the way to winning it all in 2017, then the chances are that they would do so again. So perhaps another chapter in all of this is yet to be revealed.

 

When Altuve hit the walkoff in the ALCS this season he was seen grabbing part of his jersey as if he were afraid something was going to fall off, and then he ran straight into the clubhouse to change, everything the astros have done in the past few years is going to come under scrutiny

 

So maybe now the Commissioner will grow a pair of balls and take some action against some/all of the players and not just the support staff, that participated/benefitted from this. The only reason they are apologizing is because they got caught.

Smart move by the Jays in all fairness.

After all, it's not like they will be missing out on matchday revenue as all game as behind closed doors anyhow, so why not get a load of the away games anyhow but if its needed, again if the pandemic in America continues as badly as it is being handled so far, then only makes sense to not want that in Canada. As for the team, if the pandemic does get under control or home games become possible down the line, then they will be in line ofr a whole mess of home games in the run in, and if they need to still play their home ames away, no reason why they couldnt use their spring training camp field as home base as, again, games are being played behind closed doors anyhow.

Anyone else watching the’world series’?(cracks me up EVERY TIME, World Series) anyway this is game two in eighth innings Tampa Bay 6 LA Dodgers 4, Dodgers are one up in the north american world, series. I’m only a recent convert 4/5 years so don’t get all the nuances and I don’t even bother with the stats. I do like that they play games on consecutive days, none of the protecting of precious athletes, (apart from the pitchers whose arms don’t last an innings let alone play two days running), I’m awake at this time most nights so it’s a handy distraction from NOT * SLEEPING

 

Been on off watching it for near 20 years, love the game and getting to one of you ever get the chance is great.

But this year I think I've not seen a single pitch of action.

Dodgers and Tampa are actually in the world series? Did not expect that at all!


Like yourself though, I'm useless at the finer details with the sport, but it's a good watch.

So who wasted their money for the fancy seats at the Blue Jays last night?

 

Then again, who expected the Jays to self destruct to allow the Mariners to come back from 8-1 down?

Been a pretty memorable season with Otani doing some amazing things and Judge cleanly breaking Maris' record, Albert joining 700 club etc... Hopefully the playoffs can continue that.

Now just stop the Stinkees! And the Astros.

 

Yeah, pretty poor closing out of the game. They should have left Gausman in the way the bullpen played last night lol. Felt for the guy putting the hoops front & centre in the posh seats.

What was more surprising than the Blue Jays choking was the Rays getting one run in 23 innings. I thought they'd be going on to the Bronx. That game went on and on.

Still think it will be Astros Vs Yankees for the AL.
