Really good player, one of the strangest situations ive seen with a Celtic player. Doesn’t suit us but is well above heading back to a relative nobody in hia homeland.

Maik Nawrocki is likely to leave Celtic on loan this summer.
Polish club Pogon Szczecin have already reached out to the Scottish champions in a bid to land the 24-year-old centre-half, as was confirmed by their sports director, Tan Kesler.
He told local media: "We have talked to Maik Nawrocki of Celtic," as he admitted interest but there is understood to be competition from at least one club in Germany for his signature.
Nawrocki is still believed to have a future at Parkhead long-term but the Hoops want him to gain more experience away on loan.
As I told you exclusively for CeltsAreHere, it is understood that some inside Celtic Park would prefer Nawrocki to play his football in Germany.
One unnamed German club, as confirmed to us by a source close to the situation, have made their interest clear having previously been interested in a move for the player back in January.
Brendan Rodgers wanted to keep hold of the Pole as backup for his defensive spots and the manager was vindicated when he stepped in to face Raith Rovers, Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen towards the end of the campaign.

Notice an article saying his future isn't over and will come back next summer.

Would reek of Rodgers no being here as he surely doesn't have a future with him

That was the exact thought I had when I saw that on Rodgers.

The other thinking I had was it could be lip service and the reality is we don’t want to swallow a £3m loss on him so won’t sell for what we could get this summer, therefore we believe he will do well on loan and we can get our original value or close to it back.

Aye I agree. Its going to be one of the two.

May be that we want to build his value again and a move, even to Bundesliga II could do that.

Yeah I don’t think in Germany there is the gulf between the top end of Bundesliga II and the bottom half of Bundesliga as there is in England between EPL and Championship. Teams seem to be able to come up and be competitive enough to stay in the top league, Ligue 2 in France is similar.

I actually think both those leagues are good places to look for talented players both youngsters coming through or taking their first steps in Europe like Ao Tanaka or players going there to rebuild careers like Tzolis before moving on.

Said the other day or last week whenever that I'd be pushing for a German move..

Be far better for us in terms of suitors if he did well..

2nd best CB at the club imo would much rather see Scales or Trusty out the door before him. Nawrocki hasn't set a foot wrong when called upon and has never been given a fair crack

To think he’s out the club before Welsh and Scales is ridiculous after last season. He’ll suit Germany very well though only the 2nd division.

    Exactly this.

He deserved more chances and I think the way hes been treated by Rodgers was poor, but the reactions to him are way OTT. People saying he's very good and the second best CB at the club based on one game.

I can't understand this one. We are hardly strong at CB and he hasn't been that bad at all.

Seems like he was miles out of the picture with BR.

Definitely hasn't been given enough of a chance tbh.

But anyway. Need to get some more bodies in now.

Difficult one. He's clearly very talented on the ball, probably the best we've had on the ball in * knows how long and I include CCV in that. He was always able to find a good pass. I think, a bit like the Lagerbielke deal, we signed a player who was highly rated who just didn't have the pace to play as our CB.

Not given enough of a chance for me and would have liked to have seen far more but gotta trust Rodgers on this. Certainly looks like we are getting players out the door sharp.

    Good move for both parties..

Getting out a lot of the 'deadwood' now. We'll deffo sign a right sided centre half, just hope he's a good one..

Good luck to him. Another one never given a fair chance by BR. He has a blind spot for Scales.

For me he's 3rd best at club but with potential to be first XI player ahead of Trusty or Scales.
Never had a chance - that's the strange thing.

Not a Rodgers signing to start with or he's just not shown enough on training??
As usual, well never know - good luck to the lad.
