Had to show a left footer coming in from the right down the line in that scenario make it hard for him.

Being fair to Miovski he did well and it was some finish but was a very similar situation to Taylor vs Van Veen last season. You need to be smarter there and force him on his weaker side.

I don't disagree with any of that mate, and it doesn't contradict anything I said previously. Forensic analysis of that goal would find multiple faults on our side, but most goals would throw up a similar number of things that could have been done better defensively. I thought it was a great bit of play by Miofski, credit to him for the goal. But collectively, rather than focus on Nawrocki, I think it was a bad goal for us to lose. Too easy, and due to a lack of cohesiveness throughout the team, guys going gung-ho and leaving us unnecessarily exposed against a team that didn't have the quality to break us down without us leaving the door open for them...... kindergarten stuff.

Great finish though, I'm not taking that away from the guy, but really poor from us

Yeah ur right mate, there's lots you can pick apart in it. Not showing him to outside and onto his weaker foot, Johnston not being tucked around enough to cover, I also felt scales's positioning was poor and that he should have been in the line of the pass to stop it getting to Miovski in the 1st place but aye like you say even allowing for all that he's still 18 yards out and only place he's beating Hart is right in that corner.

I think he looks a good player. His passing was excellent at times. Very unlucky to be booked and that effected his game for the remainder.

Played a great ball over the top for Kyogo in the 1st half. Don't think any of our other cbs have done that all season. Good range of passing and is much quicker at moving the ball on too

what’s Johnston got to do with it not his side of the pitch Bernabei is jogging back after losing the ball should be bursting a gut to get back. Him and palms both kind of loose it and then don’t burst it back

That lends itself to another point I have been making our prep for games seems miles off.

Miovski is one of the top players in the league, possibly the top one outside them, how can your centre backs not know his left is his strong foot? His centre back partner even played with him last season.

As I say take nothing away from the striker but a simple straight ball down the wing shouldn’t have us struggling like that.

We were getting caught time and again with balls hit over the top into space but then we left Nawrocki(then Welsh) and Scales as the only 2 outfield Celtic players in our own half. Any team that thinks they can play like that is heading for a fall no matter how poor the opposition. You are 100% correct regarding our lack of preparation. Whether it's the appalling standard of our penalty taking, the players having no idea Miovski is all left foot or how easily we are suckered-in to giving away cheap fouls due to other teams gamesmanship, we clearly do little, if any, work on the finer details. It should be obvious to anyone who watches the team on a regular basis. Here's one to watch for in future games....when the opposition is taking a throw most of our players will stand away from their players, marking fresh air, whilst one of their guys walks into acres of space to receive the ball unopposed.

That last one with throw ins drives me insane, anytime we go to take one everyones marked up (since we stopped just getting it back in as quick as possible), when they try it there are always spare men.

Yeah that second half was just suicide football. See when Aberdeen went all out attack, we should have just got back into shape and picked them off as it would have left us plenty of space but too many players were just all over the place with no shape or discipline.

I would actually like to see us try a back 3 to give us at least one other player back there. If Iwata is fit sit him in front of them and then have a flat 4 and 2 up top. I wouldn’t mind seeing how Kyogo and Maeda did as a pair, I know it was only Livi but they did very well together away there when we went down to 10, or try Idah with one of them as he likes to come off the front short and let whoever plays with him go on beyond him.

We need to try something to mix it up more.

A bit of a mixed bag IMO. He did hit a pass that Starfelt couldn't hit in a thousand years; on the other hand, I'd fancy Starfelt to deal with that 1v1 with Miovski.

If the ball is on 1 side of the pitch the opposite full tucks round to provide cover that is basic school boy defending. Johnstone is high and wide on the opposite side of the park. He's * miles out of position

I know it’s hard to see it because it was a goal, but thought he did well against Miovski there. Sometimes have to just take your hat off to the player though he done brilliantly getting it on his left then some finish. Don’t think Starfelt or CCV do anything different there.

Lots more goes wrong than that which is more concerning like the way the recovery runs were the way we lost the ball etc. that is the biggest concern as oppose to the other fullback and can he tuck in when scales is trying to get back into the middle. So as mentioned it’s all the other stuff before that

Aye there is more to it and I mentioned other factors in my original post. Johnstone is down the list but it's still an issue. For me biggest concern is Johnston is 10 yards from our dugout and not 1 coaching staff recognised his position was a problem and told him to move inside the pitch.

The whole thing is a cluster * of mistakes which was my original point when folk were initially piling in on Nawrocki
