Magic? I'm not convinced

thats what i am sayin but he is not very consant which sticks out at a very constant club am not saying he is rubbish he is a very good striker who can score goals with lots of effort and also has lots of assists to his name

The point i was making was that his overall game isn't that good, depends what you look for in a striker i suppose. He can finish reasonably well and all the arguments for him point to his goals to game ratio but then you could argue Kris Boyd is top drawer based on that. I find him slightly disinterested at times, and he is unproven in CL so anyone saying he'll do this or that or is "world class" is just speculating or in the case of the latter, deluded

 

He done it in World Cup Qualifying against top quality players. He can handle the Champions League.

Totally disagree with you mate, Magics running off the ball and work rate is second to none. He'd score even more goals if his team mates had a bit more vision to pick him out more often. Remember last trip to Mordor - One chance - One touch - winning goal. Good enough for me

Aye cos a proper fan just accepts what the manager tells him. * forbid you have an opinion. All the responses have been either poor sarcasm or highlighting his SPL goals record. I accept he can finish but was looking for opinions on his overall game, which appears not to matter to folk. As for his World Cup qualifying record against top quality opposition, who was that then? Who did he score against that was top class? I'm all for supporting and getting behind a player but i also think if there are flaws in someones game as a fan you have the right to highlight them. Any of the last three seasons, if asked, i'd say we had the best striker in the league (Henrik, Sutty, Bellers), this season? Ain't so sure.. As for the fact i'm a newbie, what are you talking about? Doe's that mean my opinion is of less value?

 

i agree that has link up has to improve, and his focus somethimes as sometimes puts us in trouble with slack link up

 

Joehill doesn't deserve critisism.. too many * on this site.. honestly. I don't agree with his point about Maciej not proving himself to be a quality player for us.. however some of the replies are simply appalling!

No need to spit the dummy out pal. You're right that we have been spoiled here with some of the strikers we've had but Henke was a once in a generation type of player, and we don't have 6mill for a Sutton replacement and we got lucky to get Bellamy for half a season.

 

Have you read the thread? I pointed out Magic had flaws in his game only to be bombarded with infantile abuse and claims he is "world class". He is not, and he is not the best we could do, thats all i'm saying. Rather than abusing people, which is easy from the comfort of the home, it reflects better on the individual to argue their case ( if they even have one ). To be fair to Greendave he has and he did. Tommyburns on the other hand most defo has neither manners nor an argument.

 

Magic's biggest problem for me is the rest of the team, if players around him showed a bit more imagination sometimes. He does a lot of good work off the ball which goes unnoticed.

 

He just scored, after Roy Keane picked him out. Who did he score against during the qualifiers? Umm, England? rofl.

He's the best we've got, and has scored 20 in his first season at a style of play he has NEVER seen before in his life considering he played in Poland for most of it. I don't give a * about your opinion, especially in regards that you're talking * about someone who has not done ANYTHING wrong to deserve your negative comments. You're not the manager, you didn't just win the league, GS did.

What does it take to convince you? We did pay 3 mill for him didn't we?

 

I'd say he's new to Celtic cause not even some Bawbag Hun would agree with Joehill.Fortunately the other Tims on this site along with myself have eyes that work.

 

It is clear from your previous posts you are both a Poland and Magic fan, his transfer to Celtic is probably the reason you were a hoops fan so i understand you would support him, but i support the team, and was putting an opinion across about a possible weakness in a part of that team. Why bother attempting to get personal and abusive? We have no beef man its all in your head.
