[Mafia] Mafia 18: Day 10 - Town Win!

Caught up, a lot of info there. @CookieMonster you're a * savage man, twice in a row!

Eddie - Superman, protected Dazza. Nobody else has challenged this, he likely did protect Dazza as we know he was targeted. Mafia protection role? Stick with town for now, but he shouldn't be allowed to sail through unchallenged off an early role claim like he/Dazza did last game.

Minty - Has to be town, Batman is in this game for sure, somebody would/should be extremely pursuing him of he was bluffing. Slippy has pressured, which leads me on to my next point.

Slippy - Seen him do this as mafia before, trying to cast doubt over someone who really should be viewed as nailed on town, to a townie. In general, though, he can be like a dug with a bone even as town. Had to read, but as I was reading through it was where my doubts where at pre-Cookie/Scotia.

Cookie - Forced into using it, now maligned for doing so. I thought the exact same, he had to use it under the pressure. This that Eddie posted - v - Does that not make sense?

You seemed to be hinting you had a cop role?

Not a chance now that Scotia is confirmed and one was rejected.

 

Sorry for the lack of posting again, won't go down well but I've not been on much last 6 weeks or so
because of being very busy.
My thoughts are, mafia are getting better at covering themselves with believable stories.
Confirmed cop has confirmed cookie at bad, don't think the cop was insane, but some seem hellbent on defending him, some of those are his scum "friends" others are getting dragged into their deceit.
Either way in my opinion he has to go.
I will try & get on again later today.

I think this is down to the fact that there are real characters in place, which gives a bluffer the chance to use their own knowledge of the theme to good use.

First few games I played it was just standard Town/Mafia and you didnt have the option to bluff like that, it's added another dynamic. GOT game being a good example.

 

Why do you think Minty is town? You were so sure, even before he role revealed.

 

I'll wait until people start agreeing with you or even acknowledge your posts before I defend myself any further. No point in defending myself to you because you clearly only see what you want to see

Aye, you revealed a * of a lot, admitted you had a multi-use pro-town role, under a tiny bit of pressure.. And then insinuated to the guy applying said pressure that you 'knew' he was town.

You've put it out there already, I don't see the harm in elaborating on how you knew Minty was town, even before his believable role claim. Fair enough not divulging the rest of your "multi-role".

Did you investigate Minty? And if so did the readings come back; 'town', 'good', 'not bad', or whatever else?

Cookie would have had plenty of time to research a character to cover himself coming back bad to an investigation.

He's shot the Town Cop in front of us keeping him alive will just lead to more confusion down the line. That doubt around him will always be there.

Also I'd argue one shot dayvig isn't as good as his discard.

Yeah, but the fact that his role claim actually fits why he returned as non-town, is something that shouldn't be scoffed at just because he had time to research.

Scotia says he's non-town - Cookie role reveals - Pressure builds on Cookie to use his role reveal on the revealed cop - Cookie kills Scotia - Cookie now suspect for coming back non-town and killing the cop.

In hindsight it was wrong to pressure Cookie into using his role on Scotia, Scotia always picks town when given the option and even when reading through, I didn't doubt for a second that he wasn't the cop.

Agreed that it's risky to keep him around, given Scotia's cop read, just feel as if we could be about to lose the cop and a townie through pressuring Cookie into using his role.

 

Well the main thing was surviving an attempt on his life...

 

I agree with you to an extent, Scotia has played it poorly even if Cookie is scum, but Cookie was really trigger happy and should have resisted a wee bit of pressure to prove his role reveal..

Of course Cookie could just be scum who's taken one for the team by taking out the Town Cop..

His character does fit really well but I just feel it's too risky to keep him alive and my vote will stay on him unless new info comes to light..

This is just as likely as anything, totally agree. If he hadn't used his power (which obviously he wasn't lying about, it's his alignment we don't know at this stage), he would of been lynched and his day kill power would of went to waste, as you, JC, know all to well yourself from the last game..

I'm probably going to vote Cookie on this basis. Scotia outed himself, outed Cookie, Cookie knew he was * and took out the cop.

Even typing that out I'm thinking 'But his role claim is almost dead on contradictory to everything I've said'.

It was on Scotia, was it not? Scotia is now dead, votes gone.

Has to be a double vote, and the fact it isn't on Cookie may mean something.

 

Wont be back on till later on, me shooting Scotia is indefensible, I was confused at the time why I would come back bad when I’m actually town, was still confused until Eddie posted the link to batman wiki on my Gray Ghost and it all made sense then. I hadn’t even checked out my character I thought he was just a normal good guy since I’ve not a clue about characters outside the last few films. Then pressure built rapidly and I really should of waited and tried to figure out what was going on.

At least if I get lynched hopefully Keano will explain the story and why part of my role was hidden.
Will also say be wary of scum using this to shift the focus off them, it’s given them a headstart unfortunately.
