Folk being very, very, harsh on him
IMO. He was fouled constantly in the first half and from 70 mins onwards was absolutely * but was kept on.

It’s not his fault there are no other options.

At times it looked like he was our only midfielder.

Got hit heavy a few times early in the game and the * ref overlooked them all, still think he played well but I think he got got at by the vermin having a free rein to foul without booking. That said should be better and overcome

Showed his ceiling for me today. I don’t think that’s harsh.

Best of our midfielders, even if not great.

Pretty much sums up today's midfield and how disconnected it was.

Not hai fault, but Engles, Hatate and McCowan as a three is so unbalanced, we missed Bernardo especially I would argue.

Why is it that we talk this way about McCowan and not others?

We're always talking about his level. We've clearly seen him play better than he did today.

He's inexperienced in these big games, perhaps a bit more experience and we'll see his level go up.

Honestly he doesn't that half get written off for someone who makes a positive impact more often than not

Because he’s 27 and there’s a reason he hasn’t moved before then and bloomed late.

He’s an excellent squad player. But he will never be that game winner or game dictator. As seen today, he needs to know his own weaknesses. Ran into Rangers players and miss placed far too many passes.

He's learned rather quickly in the past 2 years of playing centre mid, he's went from Scottish Championship to Champions League in that time.

I think his trajectory isn't that of your average academy footballer so I find his age a bit immaterial. He's inexperienced at the level but for sure has the ability and I've no doubts he'll learn from games like today. He'll adapt and improve, he's shown he can.

Hes not that inexperienced hes played countless games against this mob while playing with Dundee, see if you cant then play against them while moving to us you shouldn't be here. Actually thought he done ok today, was bullied a few times but was still one of the only ones trying to make something happen.

    The one with Propper today..

I've seen worse than that though which has surprised me as he was a buzz bomb all over us for Dundee. Backs out of challenges and gets bullied in plenty..

That was a * coward performance today, you don’t have to play well but don’t * hide.

He hasn't played against them quite as much as you'd think, but regardless, let's not pretend playing against the Huns for Dundee is anything even remotely close to a Glasgow Derby. Different thing entirely.

Tbh considering how much we hype ourselves up and say how much better we are than that mob regardless of the fact its a derby hes playing in a team far superior than Dundee and should be more than capable of handling himself as thats why we have signed him.
