Aye, he was absolutely woeful today

He's a good squad player, but I hope that's the last we see him starting a game this big.

He was absolutely woeful. Would've been another hooked at half time if there was an option on the bench.

Wasn’t the worst on the pitch but he’s not good enough to start.

Only because Johnston stunk out the ground and Kuhn was hiding.

Been holding off for a while in giving up on him but today was the last straw. Fair play, lovely ball through for Reo's goal but that aside he was absolutely *. Miles off the level required.

I think it's clear he's a handy squad player to do a job domestically during the congested parts of the season but he's not someone to be starting in big games. The squad has been a midfielder short this season and you really saw it today

Today I think that the manager has to take a fair whack of the blame, especially concerning the first half performance.

McCowan came up with the key pass for the Hatate equalizer, and along with the others, the MF were so much better after HT. So why were they not prepped properly for the first half also?

Instead of trying to constantly play out from the back and possession, it allowed for Sevco's press in MF. After the break, play a little more direct, make the use of Maeda's speed in behind and made them had to sit off a little bit, put the bluenose defensive structure in two minds, which then creates space for the MF. And suddenly much more effective.

But having a full week to prepare and set up using the one tactic, the same tactic all the first half makes the play predictable and harder for the MF to create. That doesnt discount the phyicality of the MF as a contest, but again, this comes back to BR. He knew he likely had no CalMac all week, so would've known the likely make up of his MF and had loads of time to adapt accordingly, and yet...

Exactly. Getting stick when he was our only midfielder who tried to be creative. The tactics were *. He wasn't looking for too much time on the ball. He wasn't getting time because he had no-one to pass it to most of the time and then got closed down. You actually saw him in the game a lot more than Engels or Hatate (except for the goal). McCowan was trying to make things happen but the way the team is set up and our slowness getting the ball forward makes it hard to create chances.

Thought he was the better of the midfield three if im being honest. The only one with a bit of dig.
i felt without him it would have been a lot worse

Spent more time than not in the 2nd half pretty much at LW.

Definitely did more than Mr World Superstar Engels, and arguably Hatate (goal aside).

Poor today but he is what he is, a squad player.

Still contributed and showed more than the £11m blouse.
