    My other halfs from Dundee and supports them and is gutted he is leaving but is glad hes coming to us. Think he is going to prove a few people wrong,hes a good player and came in at a decent price.

    Some players just develop later than others. As I've mentioned before Vardy played non-league til he was 25 and ended up winning the EPL and playing for England and he's still playing in the EPL at 38.
    Not saying McCowan is that good obviously - just saying his age is irrelevant.

    Intrigued to see how he gets on, will definitely get chances and is a good player to have for rotating post-european games. Know he can do it domestically and should be even better around better players and working with BR.

    The fact he's a late bloomer etc makes me want it to work for him more than most and also gives me confidence that he will be determined to take this chance.

    He is living every single one of ours' dream. As much as I can understand the scepticism, I really want this to work.

    Don't think this is the same level as other punts we've taken in the past. To me this is more akin to a Robson, Hartley or Armstrong.

    When rhe latter signed for us from Dundee United he came off the back of a similar vain of form. The only difference being he was about 4 years younger, I think that's what is also going against McCowan for some.

    Calmac is 31 yrs old. I think Rodgers is looking at him as bringing him on in the next two seasons as a potential replacement.

    He's got the potential & will have the commitment.

    I've seen him against us live and in numerous other games and their styles are similar. Said earlier he reminds me of mcgregor from about 2016-2018 under Rodgers the first time

    As much as I hate to mention those *, look at their reaction to Barron. I don't agree he's as good as they're making out but he's went there and surprised a lot of them instantly.

    We are bad for snobbery at times looking at players in our own league and his youtube reel is as impressive as any midfielder we were linked with tbh. And it's in the league we play.
