Definitely the most balanced our midfield looks.

Done well enough today. Never easy to come into the team after our last game but he showed up well again.

Happy for him to keep his spot. Think Hatate always looks hungrier from the bench too, so let him stay there for a period.

I like him. He is a good player and has plenty to offer, but feel like he's 5th in line and that's about right. Even with Reo being as frustrating as he is.

Amazing backup midfielder who'll hopefully play that role for years to come.

He’s a solid choice. But Bernardo is still ahead of him for me.

Just feel when he’s on the pitch he’s always knocking his pan in. Clearly hungry and playing for the jersey. He’s a very capable option for us in the middle and would like to see him get a wee run. Think he’s got levels to go

Loved him calling out the orange * for no letting us take a quick freekick first half..

Decent bit of play for the first as well..

    He'll play his part..

Thought he played well today. Good pass for the opener and lots of energy throughout the game.

His pass in behind to maeda in the second half was excellent too. Quietly goes about his business but it can’t be a coincidence when he’s in the side our midfield looks more balanced.

I just love him as a player, hard to describe fully without sounding like a weirdo but his body shape when receiving and making passes and the way he shuffles across the pitch are all very un Scottish midfielder like. Very similar to Calmac in that respect.

I also think we’ve not seen anywhere close to the attributes he has thus far as he’s still playing within his shell within the team unit, his highlight videos show that he is superb at free kicks for example.

I'd keep him in the team for the next game, he seems the biggest goal threat of our midfielders the now and probably the most creative as well. He's a bit more direct and will turn on a ball or will shoot or attempt to make space to shoot more than the others and play an early pass.

Hatate, Bernardo and Engels play more in the same patterns of they'll pass and move and pass and move and recieve a ball and lay it off and they never really look to attack constantly where as McCowan seems to recieve a ball and be thinking how to get goals and will only lay it off or pass it if he turns and nothing is on.

    I like this kid

Neat and tidy in possession, works his socks off without it.

Given time, and the right coaching, I’m sure his end productive will improve even further

A great start to his career with us

Hmmm! Hadn’t thought of that. Normally I’d think not, but he’s already changed position at least once in his career, so we know he has the flexibility to adapt. Wouldn’t be against it, but wouldn’t like to see us rely on him being able to make the change either.

Good again today, would swap one of Hatate/Bernardo back in for County but wouldn't be upset if he starts again.

As cover definitely, his energy in the middle is excellent and something we’ve missed in a few big games this season.

Decent but bit slower than I thought he was..

Gave it away a few times being slow and got breezed by for that chance he looked favourite to be 1 on 1 for second half..

Not sure about pace, he got done for pace with that big chance he had, defender did really well.
