Cuts inside, then gets the ball took off him. That’s the theme over and over.

So one footed. That was a chance for him to make an impression and he done nothing of note. Had high hopes when he arrived but he’s just not what we need now

Find it hard to be critical when he's played so little but after that first 5 mins he was atrocious. He will smash the MLS if he goes there I'm sure but not good enough for us now

Given how 1 dimensional he is I don't get how he's never really been tried on the opposite side of the park.

Delivery is only thing he's got going for him. Would probably be better off just taking touch and whipping one into the box from the right hand side, especially once Idah was on.

Looked a little better then Yang yesterday but just doesn't have the athleticism Rodgers wants. Hopefully the MLS rumours are true because he is a good guy and is a decent player just not suited to how we play. So hopefully a deal for him to go to a club in MLS is worked out next month.

Looks like a winger badly lacking in confidence. He was afraid to try anything creative yesterday.

I think that's the only tiny thing in his favour at the moment, the fact that he was thrown in from the cold and expected to produce something.

He went on the outside several times when he came on as well to be fair.

Looked dangerous at the start, then dwindled away. Also thought he made a couple yards a good few times and had to check back, with no movement in the box to hit. All so static.

He’s not making it here now, that’s clear, Brendan doesn’t rate him, but I stand by him being a far better option than Yang.

Throwing him on yesterday to save the game after not playing doesn’t surprise me when he doesn’t play fully fluent. For me he should be coming on as the first back up option. A different option, that can be very dangerous.

Just said it in the previous comment but thought he was trying to be very careful about when he would try the final pass, and the lack of movement in the box was very poor. And he’d check back, looking for the perfect option, and lose the ball.

Still for me probably showed more creativity than both Yang and Maeda though. The latter I’m sure being effected by the bug in the squad, he was actually sweating. Maeda doesn’t usually break a sweat regardless of the shift.

Empty him with immediate effect, nowhere near good enough. I remember laughing when Beale said he was offered him and didn’t want him………looks like Beale was correct.

He's never making it at celtic. He's had too many chances and he just never really makes much of an impact. Kind of player who may end up going somewhere else and looking better than he does here, but i see almost no chance that he suddenly 'clicks' and becomes a starter for celtic most weeks.

    https://www.oncenoticias.hn/deporte/luis-palma-en-celtic-sin-jugar/

Honduran footballer Luis Palma is going through a difficult time at Celtic FC in Scotland, having not played any minutes in his last game.

In the recent 4-0 victory against Motherwell , corresponding to the 19th round of the Scottish Premiership , Palma remained on the bench without being considered by coach Brendan Rodgers .

This situation has caused concern among the club's followers and fans.

Since his arrival at Celtic, Palma has only played a few minutes on the pitch.

This season, he has played just 127 minutes in the Scottish league, spread across a few games.

In cup competitions, he has played 69 minutes in two matches, while in the UEFA Champions League his participation is limited to 16 minutes in the 0-0 draw against Atalanta on 23 October 2024.

Despite his efforts to gain the coach's trust, Palma has not managed to establish himself as a starter.

This lack of opportunities has led to speculation about his possible departure during the next winter transfer market.

Several clubs have shown interest in his services, including two Major League Soccer (MLS) teams in the United States and Olympiacos of Greece.

Palma joined Celtic from Aris Salonika for a fee of around five million euros, generating high expectations among fans and coaching staff.

However, a lack of playing time has limited his impact on the Scottish team.

With the winter transfer window about to open, Palma's future at Celtic is uncertain.

A potential transfer could offer him more playing time and the chance to resume his career in a more favourable environment.

Meanwhile, the player continues to work hard to turn his situation around and prove his worth in European football.

Hopefully he has played his last game for us and gets shipped out permanently next month, he started his career well then just seemed to fill his head with social media * and thought he was the best thing since sliced bread, time to go mate and do your talking on the football pitch and ignore social media!

Only question is do we punt him asap or do we wait to sign his replacement fìrst? With Forrest injured till February, we aren't exactly loaded at the wing positions.

True but I would expect the like of Kyogo and Luke McC to be able to fill in if we cannot get correct replacement this window

And Honduran winger Luis Palma is also drawing strong interest from MLS clubs.

Initially keen to sign out-of-favour winger Palma, LAFC were unable to secure a deal.

Brendan Rodgers is in the market for one, possibly two, wingers in the January window.

And that will clear the way for Palma to go in search of first-team football.

Signed from Aris Salonika for £3m, the 24-year-old Honduran has made 10 appearances this season after injuries to James Forrest and Nicholas Kuhn, but remains surplus to requirements.

He's another one we will probably make a profit on, to the MLS.

Aye, there's no reason we couldn't sell him for £4/4.5 million, he's been excellent in the internationals and still done alright last season.

    https://www.genovatoday.it/sport/calcio/genoa-luis-palma.html

Luis Palma is the hottest name in the Genoa market right now. Patrick Vieira has asked for an attacking winger to be placed on the left flank of his new trident, it is a necessity because in that role the Grifone is exposed. On the right the Zanoli experiment has given largely positive results, while on the other side of the field both Vitinha and Miretti do not seem to have the right characteristics to cover the role

The new rossoblu ownership is moving to please their coach and at the top of the wish list seems to be Luis Palma, a 24-year-old footballer born in Honduras and owned by Celtic. Only a few months ago his farewell to the Scots seemed impossible, but in the new season Brendan Rogers has changed the cards on the table and there is no more room for him. In fact, last year Palma was one of the brightest protagonists of the biancoverdi with 10 goals and 10 assists in 44 games in all competitions with two goals also in the Champions League.

Important numbers that however were not enough to still be a starter, in fact this season there are only eight appearances and in the last thirteen games he played only 30 minutes on December 22 with Dundee United, for the rest only benches and four stands. In short, moving forward in Scotland is not possible for this 24-year-old who already in the 2022/2023 season had wreaked havoc with 29 appearances 11 goals and 4 assists in Aris in the top Greek league where he arrived the previous year after the experience in his homeland with Vida

In short, the numbers are interesting as are the qualities of this boy who plays on the left or in the three-quarter line and who on some occasions has also been used as a centre-forward. Genoa seems ready to attack but he will not be alone, Luis Palma has in fact entered the sights of Olympiakos, a Greek team first in the league in his homeland, who knows him well having had him as an opponent in two seasons before his arrival in Scotland.

However, Europe is not the only option for the Honduran-born winger, according to rumours coming from British newspapers, the MLS has also set its sights on Luis Palma, with Orlando City and Atlanta said to be very interested in his purchase
