CCV is a monster aerialy as well even if he isn’t as tall. Also positionally.

But Trusty had 14 clearances in the box. Next closest was Scales with 9. AJ and Valle had about 7/8 each I think. He had a monstrous performance.

Don’t know about blessings etc. but what it was is a guy who’s had questions over him, coming in for a player usually deemed irreplaceable and being exceptional. And by the end of the game the guy was untouchable, started well and then also grew into it so much. That near the end coming out to RB, not fouling, keeping pressure on, clean tackle to keep possession and then being calm on the ball as well? That’s a guy who within 70/80 minutes of football who’s had a full turnaround in confidence in his ability. Whereas before he wasn’t struggling as such, but wasn’t comfortable. Maybe trying too hard, not natural. By end of the game last night he was confident and natural.

Felt for him a bit, thought he was unlucky to be subbed when he was. Showed good attitude and unlucky not to have an assist or 2.

He's too slow and doesn't take a man on

    No for me..

Does try but some of his touches and his predictability are beyond bad..

Does a couple of good things but far more that's nowhere near it for what we need..

Palma played some nice balls in that were not capitalized on. One for Kyogo and another for Yang spring to mind that both should've finished. That said, the Dundee FB knew what he was likely to do and that predictability does make it that bit easier to defend, can't remember him really getting to the byline even once, and the first impression of Maeda was doing exactly that.

I just can't take to him. I even prefer an off form Maeda. Need to fix this in January.

Some of his shots and cross are decent enough, but when he cuts back to try and beat a man it just doesn't seem as if he has the pace to do it, often shows too much of it to the defender.

In a nutshell he's awrite but looking for more from a winger.

Palma aside, Off form Daizen is chronic, need him back firing ASAP, I thought he was awful when he came on

When we went on a break first half and he got caught with a 10 yard head start and had to cut back. Toe curling..

I would like to see him start a game when there's not so many changes..

But, aye his chances to shine will be fewer the more he disappoints.

I'm not really convinced he disappointed today. There was slack moments and his shortfalls were evident but so were his strengths, played some cracking passes and had a couple good efforts. Linked well enough with Taylor too.

That said, we do need to sign a winger. Kuhn is the only one I trust in these kinda games at the moment

Mixed bag tbh. Could have had a couple of assists with a couple of nice deliveries but no takers on the end of them while also doing some really * frustrating things. Be good to see him in a fully firing team with less changes too tho.

Was our best player up until the subs. Does 2 things good and 1 bad to often though and fans jump on the bad straight away now.

    It's more than that though..

Ralston sprays a lovely 60 harder and he watches it all the way, runs past the ball and it goes out for play..

Second half he runs on to a second ball, takes a touch then it runs loose and goes out for a throw by the main stand..

It's nowhere near good enough how often these blunders happen..

A couple of his passes were outstanding and should have led to assists. I feel like we'd be raving about them if Hatate or Engels had made them.

True but if Maeda started that game he’d have been alot worse. He’s need a chance starting a game in a settled team not one like tonight just thrown together. Only had this and some cup game where it was a random team. Any other night he’s probably walking away with 2 assists. Hard for him only getting 5 mins or chucked in for the supposed easy games once every couple months.

He's just too sloppy in the games for me..

I don't doubt he's got a nice right peg. Although you wouldn't think so with his numerous shots that fail to hit the target..

    He was rotten. So careless.
