Sky Sports | Football | Transfer Centre | Possible Deal | Toni can leave for free
Bayern Munich have confirmed that want-away striker Luca Toni can leave the Bundesliga giants for free in January.
The Italian hit-man has at odds with head coach Louis van Gaal for much of the campaign and has always been expected to move on.
Such is Bayern's eagerness to end Toni's unhappy tenure they have confirmed that they do not require a fee to part company with his services.
President Uli Hoeness insists Bayern are keen to put the issue to bed once and for all, however, they are yet to receive any offers for the 32-year-old.
Free transfer
"If necessary, we will require no transfer fee [for Luca Toni]," he told DSF Doppelpass.
"We want to have peace on this issue.
"We still have no concrete offer, although we are willing to lend him on a free transfer or free."
i think he would be a great singing for us.

Aye
See if they'll throw in Ribery as well  -
He'll end up at AC Milan most likely. Why on earth would he want to come here?
That said, I'd offer him a contract anyway. What's the harm it can do? -

His relationship with striker Luca Toni has broken down irretrievably. In pre-season, the disciplinarian pulled the Italian's ear in front of the squad because he objected to his slouched body position at the lunch table. The 32-year-old was banished to the * team to regain his fitness and left the Allianz Arena at half-time when he was substituted against Schalke. Bayern fined him €25,000 (£22,600) but Toni, despite the intervention of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the club chairman, never apologised to Van Gaal. "The player is looking for a new club," the manager has confirmed. Reports of a January move to West Ham are fanciful, however: Toni's weekly wages of £173,000 will prove prohibitive.
enough said never going to happen and he would never want to play for celtic. end of thread :icon_mrgreen:
didnt think he was on that much i would have said about 90 grand a week at a guess :56:Last edited by a moderator: Dec 20, 2009 -

ha
Well if we got him on 173,000 a week then that would only be 4,152,000 for 2 years which isnt accually that bad since hes a free.
I wouldnt take the big cheating * but.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 21, 2009 -
