Lubo Moravcik

Better than Larsson, for me.

 

A bit of a silly question, but how good was Lubo? I was quite young when he played for us so don't remember him too well

 

Definitely underrated, he only won major honours with us, but he still had a long and successful career. He just never got the big move in his younger days before we picked him up.

 

For people who never seen much of him, Santi Cazorla reminds me of him, good with both feet, technically gifted, a lot of assists and chips in with goals, both are not the most physically imposing but can still control the midfield. The Arsenal team-mates seem to echo what the Celtic players at the time said of Lubo. Probably the most naturally gifted in the squad can nutmeg people for fun and hard to tell what their strongest foot is etc.

 

Give this a watch mate. He was incredible. The fact he could swing a corner in from either side with either feet is just the start..

 

My favourite Celtic player. Pure magic.

 

World class.

 

Marseille wanted him when they were going for the CL.

 

Kills me that I have no recollection of him playing, have watched plenty of videos though.

Are there any players around now that are as good with both feet?

On this day in 2001, Celtic beat Hearts 1-0 before lifting the League Trophy at Celtic Park. Lubo scored the only goal of the game.

Turns out, Lubo said nothing of the sort. Funny that, eh?
