Unfortunately there's plenty of that in Italy as well,..
Even the teams who in the past were traditionally 'left leaning' have some fascist elements within them now,. AC Milan and Roma for example,.. the likes of Livorno, Empoli, ternana, Cosenza, Atalanta and Virtus Verona are all exclusively antifa,..
The far-right would be of course Lazio, Hellas Verona, Inter amongst others, These teams always have problems when they play in Livorno :bash:..
Italian football is interesting to say the least! :84:

The pace of italian football can be too slow sometimes like in some games i can imagine some guy sitting in the crown with a suit on and a glass of wine...i dont follow italian football that much but do watch the odd game:56:

I'm going to give you a straight answer in regards to the attitude of celtic fans towards Palestine. Many Celtic fans are activists within the solidarity movement. The Palestinian flag flies regularly in Celtic park. We do not, in general, support HAMAS, but sympathize with the PLO and the Palestinian people. Regardless of who's land it is, both the Palestinian people and the Israeli people are suffering because of the actions of the IDF and the Islamic extremists in that region. The IDF, being backed by the west, can be actively protested against because WE are the people who pay money towards it, by threat of imprisonment.

Thanks for using name Constantinople! The home of my ancestors.
AEK is my Greek team, I can not believe I haven't seen this yet.

It was called Konstantiniye by the Turks, they have been using new name for the city since 1931.
    IN-STAN-TIPOLI

Yes, there was huge change of the population during Greek-Turkish wars and later, during 1950's and 1960's during Cyprus crisis, Greeks were made to leave Polis-that is how they call Constantinople shorter. Even, Orhan Pamuk, a Turkish writer wrote how the Turks destroyed Greek shops in his novel "Istanbul" It means "city" in Greek and when a Greek says "Polis"-it means just one city-Constantinople.

    Great movie about it.
It is been said, there are about 3000-4000 Greeks in Constantinople nowadays. The Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople is still based there.

It's been said before on this thread but it's buried deep somewhere - those fans are actually fans of Livorno, they just have close links with AEK which is why that flag is there.

Enormous respect to Livorno for that banner. Love it when fans show unsolicited awareness of one another's rivalries, friendships and causes.

And the title of this thread really needs to be changed to give Livorno the credit that's due.
