Sometimes you dont know what a news report contains till you watch.
And yes they have a job to do,but i think there,s line reporters should not cross and watching them trying to get a story from a person who is not in the rite frame of mind such as what we witnessed this week is crossing that line.

A bit * weird though, walking into a burned-out building and stripping down to his underwear when confronted with a corpse.

That's why I said 'weird *' , also the article said he asked about the corpse at his front door, so I assume that's not the building as its been evacuated surely. The main mistake here is 'trusting' in the mirror and whatever weird * added Necrophiliacs into the mix.

Daily Mail this morning ran an article about the boy whose fridge apparently started the blaze. Saying how he chapped his neighbours door and cool as you like had already a bag packed with clothes with him. Also suggested that he packed the stuff first, THEN raised the alarm, basically having a go at him.

Now that same story has been changed to how he raised the alarm and potentially saved hundreds of lives. No mention of the nonchalant bag packing this time.

Nothing like waiting for facts before spreading their stories. This poor guy is going to be seriously affected by this if it was a case of an accidental fire in his kitchen, regardless of cladding/refurb or whatever reasons for it spreading so fast. He probably expected a fairly routine shout by the firies then a quick apology to his neighbours after.

Stark photo, shows the power of fire.

You'd hope all the people who issued safety certificates after the refurb will be held accountable in some way.

Just an inferno, people living higher up would not have stood a chance.
I mentioned I stayed in this area last month and the majority of people living there are muslims or foreign nationals. Shepherds Bush is mainly halal food shops, Asian clothes. And the guys all sit in middle eastern dress chatting in the market place etc. A strange mix of like casbah meets London. My point being it is so refreshing after all the terrorism, to see all Londoners regardless of creed or colour helping each other. Being kind in the hour of need. Still does not restore my faith in mankind.:54:

Send every MP who voted against safer housing and May in the building with a fire crew and have them search for life.

Make them witness what their choices have led to.

Even if these MPs had all voted for safer housing, I still think this would have happened :54:

Press are vultures, trying to bait the police bloke into saying how many have died when it's not even safe to search the upper floors yet. Person asking the questions was desperate for him to say whether or not it would be in triple figures.

It may not have happened because those 72 votes would have went to safer housing.
The actual vote was 312 against safer housing and 219 for.
If the 72 went to safer it would have been 240 against and 291 for safer housing and those victims may well have been still alive.
Those MPs do have a lot to answer for.

Pretty much this, unless people think that magically all existing property would have been renovated. From what I have heard/read the building was only finished last year. I am also unsure that the bill that wasn't passed would have affected this property, as it is 'owned' by local authority is it not ? As far as Im aware local authorities have different rules and reg's compared to private landlords as well.

Cause of the tests they do on it, they are done under very different conditions then if they pass are deemed suitable.

It's always like that mate. Whenever people lose their lives.. They race to be the first ones to break the story, then to get the best camera shots or more information. Then they start running there live feeds on the 24hr channels with the news anchor trying to make everything as dramatic as possible.

Then the rest of the media start interviewing everyone to get the saddest story they can (and the british people love a good sad story) So they can start writing articles titled Horrifying, tragic, disgraceful. Then they will start getting lists of victims highlighting the kid (they look for as many of them as possible because children getting hurt get more views)

It's just one big sick * circus. This culture is a * sham, It's little wonder other cultures hate us.
