:56::56::56: That is actually comical to call the guys on that video out of control! The people they were stopping there were not out of control, they were on a bike for * sake. Look at the video at 17 seconds, the guy got off his bike and stood there. Did not deserve being hit with a truncheon as he was posing no danger

Last night in the city we had groups of youths who were using bikes to get to areas of disorder. to prevent this tonight officers are stopping youths and giving them a choice of either leaving the city or having the air let out of the tyres to prevent them using them to go to any areas of potential disorder.

RIGHT YOU SCUMBAGS , LIFE WRECKING, ROBBING, HOME DESTROYING *, WERE GOING TO LET THE AIR OUT OF YOUR RALEIGH ACTIVATORS.

Hows about bending the bikes round their necks.

You watch a one minute vid and think you know the full story. Do you know what happened beforehand? What would they have done if the police officers apprehended using less force? I'll tell you what, they would have got away to probably cause mayhem and destruction elsewhere.

I'm basing it on that one video, for that one situation, in which those people weren't putting up any resistance at all, therefore to hit them repeatedly and kick them whilst on the ground is bang out of order. I'm not bothered what went on beforehand, im on about when and how they were stopped. And how do you know they were causing trouble? All that was required was to keep hold of them, not hit them for no reason, they were unarmed.

Why does it seem all this is being blamed on the police by people. Idiots are focusing on a few policeman hitting some scumbag with a baton, trying to restore order to this mess, instead of being more concerned about the thousands of degenerate animals running about causing sheer destruction and fear. What is wrong you people?

Because we police with consent in this country, hence we don't need guns for the ordinary officer. Start handing out beatings left right and centre, you see what happens. This all started arguably because the police were out of order last Thursday night in Tottenham.

I have it on good authority that the Looters and the Gangs were employing the lads on bikes as spotters for the Police , and when police showed their face a street away from where they were looting they would cycle to the shop to get the looters out before the police got there ..So yes they probably played a big part in last nights disturbance ...!!!!

We are commenting on a video, one which shows a cop battering a lad who got off his bike, did not run,did not put up a struggle, and he got battered.

Yes there is dirt running round the streets looting, but this guy in this video,at that moment, posed no threat.

Of course it did. That's why they looted, attacked innocent civilians and burned down their neighbours houses.

Here's me thinking if this all started as a protest, they would only be targeting property of the state such as police stations. Not their hard working neighbours.

The catalyst for the riots in London is arguably the shooting. Fair enough its just copycats in places like Manchester and Birmingham, but going back to the video, how anyone can say that the actions of the police in that video there are justified is beyond belief.

You are just plain blind sighted if you think the riots were because of the shooting. 99% people did it purely for recreation and to 'gt free stuf innet' as they said on twitter and blackberry to organise it.

And you can go on worrying about some scumbags getting a deserved doing who were spotters to allow the rioting to take place. And I'll worry about the terrfied and vulnerable people of London and the destruction which the people on the bikes were helping happen.

I think you'll find I said the catalyst. I think your plain blind sighted, or rather just blind for thinking I said it was the cause. You worry about the people in London incase some youth runs them over on a bike then.

It was an poor poor excuse for them to riot for the helluva it.

The people on the bikes were allowing the riots to happen by spotting the police and informing the rioters when there was police in the location so they could move on to somewhere else. They were just as bad as the people carrying out the rioting imo.
