The word Tumshie is great way to describe a to describe turnip or a useless superstar Scottish footballer, wife is from the N/East Coast and would use the term NEEP, love our dialects no matter where you go in Scotland the patter's great, eg Ginger - Fizzy Drink, Cludgie- WC, Cuddy-horse....what's your own favourite dialect word.:56:

Hardly anyone calls it Ginger down here.
My dad stays in Aberdeen now and being from the West of Scotland says "wan" for the number 1. Gets the * taken out of him a lot for it apparently :smiley-laughing002: -
