What do you think of the loan signings so far and what do you think and hope will happen with them in the future?
My thoughts...
John Guidetti - I would love for the board to pull out all the stops to bring him here permanently. I think he realises Celtic could be a really good thing for him so could see it happening.
Jason Denayer - Too highly rated by his parent club for there even to be a possibility of signing him but I think we could possibly extend his loan deal for another season. I dont think tht would do any harm to the player, Man City or Celtic.
Mubarek Wakaso - Still a lot more to come from him but looks promising and I think he could a be a success here so would like to see us take up the option to buy if he continues to improve.
Aleksandar Tonev - Huge cloud hanging over him with this racism row so we will need to see the outcome of that and so far not been overly impressed with him on the park but I think theres maybe a good player there but so far I wouldn't be making the deal permanent.
Jo Inge Berget - I wasn't a fan when he got flung into the deep end when he had only been at the club a matter of days and as the games went on I still wasnt overly impressed. Sort of disappeared a bit and so far I wouldn't make his deal permanent.

Guidetti - class
Denayer - class (also my neighbour, yas)
Wakaso - meh
Tonev - lower side of meh
Berget - cutting my wrists -
Guidetti is the obvious one, he should be our priority. I can't see Denayer being here longer than the Summer, his return possibly accelerated by the fact City are on a slippery slope and the Manager's jaiket will be on a shaky peg soon.
Wakaso I like personally and I'd like to see him get a run on the left wing as I think he's the best left winger in the squad. I think Tonev is gash personally, possibly confidence related but he doesn't even look like a footballer to me. Berget has been very unlucky, folk expected too much from him straight away but he has proved when played in the correct position he can be a good player; good in the air and puts a shift in. -

Guidetti - Sign at all costs. If ever there was a player worth the fabled £6 million, he's the one. I'd pay the £5 million that City want in January.
Denayer - Out of our league price-wise. I'd take him for another season if we could get him.
Wakaso - I'd take him if he continues to show some promise and also depending on the asking price. If it's stupidly high, then I wouldn't bother.
Tonev - Regardless of the racist incident, I don't think he's going to make an impact. It would be "thanks, but no thanks" from me.
Berget - Again, it comes down to wage and cost (if any). I wouldn't be overly upset if we didn't get him permanently. -
I really like Wakaso. He's one of very few players in our squad who seem willing to actually put in some effort.
-
Guidetti - Unreal, hope we do everything in our power to keep him here permanently.
Denayer - Just oozes class, sadly the only way we will see him here next year is on another loan deal.
Wakaso - Not played much but he's impressed me, would like to see more of him though domestically
Tonev - Not too keen on. Always seems to cut inside and shoot but will stick by him.
Berget - Really don't rate, hopefully don't see much of him between now and January. -
Is berget loan deal not up soon, can't get in the team, don't expect him to be here
-
He just swaggered out the close next to me the other day. Couldn't beleive it, haha. -

I'd look at getting Denayer on a 2 year contract.
Guidetti must be bought. If Lawwell * us here it will be unforgivable.
The rest could seriously be replaced with cheaper alternatives from Scotland. -

Wakaso looks quite promising awesome willingness and looks like he has something about if we can get him for good price take him in a heart beat but if he's worth 4 million then Forrest is worth 14
Guidetti * superb absolute top drawer player sign him at all costs if we had the money i would bid 10 mill just to make sure we got him
Denayer a gem of a player big virgils wee brother haha too much price wise would love another year out him though
Berget plain simple not good enough waste of a jersey
Tonev looks like a ham and egger to me will get on the ball if asked doesn't really command it and doesn't really cause problems racism thing aside just a level below what we want -
Theres a big modern block of sweet apartments next to me that I think both of the old firm own and rent out to players. I remember seeing Maurice Edu and that other American lad that played for the rangers next to it.
Yeah if Lawell doesnt put his finger out for Guidetti the fans will have no choice but to do something serious.
Its the most obvious transfer in recent celtic history.
Also if they could tap us Denayer for next season as well... -
for the club it'd be like spending 3mill a season on a striker but we'd probably sell him after 2 for a really tidy profit... everyone wins, except city, but hey! * them!
oh wait, thats actually * loads of cash... just the 6 mill so... :-DLast edited by a moderator: Nov 7, 2014 -
Wakaso is good I think. Surprised he came off tonight and think he'll only get better.
Denayer has a mistake in him but is a fantastic prospect and is playing well. Feel safer than with Ambrose.
Berget has had too much stick in my opinion. Far from a great player but I don't think he'd be a bad option as long as he isn't stuck out wide left.
Tonev is *. That shooting from anywhere does my head in. Never going to make it here. -
