Not being religious mate I just don't understand the whole concept of it even being affiliated with football, but I guess other people see it diffrently. Of course sectarianism just shouldn't be tolerated in any part of life, let alone the footie. I can understand it being identified with football but growing up in area seemingly filled with bigoted individuals and not being religious it always left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Always preferred Everton over Liverpool, I like how Davie Moyes has had Everton playing over the past few years.

I like Liverpool. Don't totally know why, but I do.

Part of it is that ever since Hillsborough, a lot of their fans just absolutely loathe the tabloid press, and I relate to that. Also there's traditionally been quite close links between the two clubs themselves. And both sets of fans sing YNWA. And I like their club crest with the mythological bird & all.

Plus the fact I despise Chelsea, and Man U just annoy me.

Celtic and Liverpool have a decent relationship.I'm a season ticket holder at parkhead and am a massive liverpool fan. I went to two games at anfield last season and they are not sectarian like some fannys make them out to be.The majority prefer celtic to rangers as many have irish roots.the digs i stay in in liverpool is owned by a guy from the gallowgate who is a mad liverpool and celtic fan. It's not all bigoted down there its just the paranoia of some idiot fans who think clubs like liverpool are orange. MON THE HOOPS .

The Kop is a stand within Anfield.

Spion Kop(or Kopfor short) is a colloquial name or term for a number of terraces and stands at sports stadia, particularly in the United Kingdom; so named due to their steep nature, resembling a hill near Ladysmith, South Africa that was the scene of the Battle of Spion Kop in the Second Boer War.

The first recorded reference to a sports terrace as Kop was at Woolwich Arsenal's Manor Ground in 1904. A local newsman likened the silhouette of fans standing on a newly raised bank of earth to soldiers standing atop the hill at the Battle of Spion Kop. Two years later, in 1906, Liverpool Echosports editor Ernest Edwards noted of a new open-air embankment at Anfield: "This huge wall of earth has been termed 'Spion Kop', and no doubt this apt name will always be used in future in referring to this spot". The name was formally consummated in 1928 upon construction of a roof. It is thought to be the first terrace officially named Spion Kop. Many other English football clubs and some Rugby league clubs (such as Wigan's former home Central Park) followed suit and applied the same name to stands in later years.Villa Park's old Holte End is historically the largest of all Kop ends closely followed by the old South Bank at Molineux, both once regularly holding crowds in excess of 30,000. By the mid 1980s Hillsborough's Kop had become the largest roofed terrace in Europe, with a capacity of around 25,000.

Just wiki'd that explanation kinda like the jungle

They are our friends. I like them because they are as passionate about their club as we are about ours. The whole Hillsborough link only strengthened the bond between us.
