That's cheap mate. Think I'm going to do Edinburgh / Madrid / Lisbon which works out at £150 return which is a bit more expensive but less hassle with me living in Edinburgh and not having to get down to Liverpool. What flight(s) you on from Madrid to Lisbon?

I thought about that flight but I'm a sucker for a saving so thought "* it, Liverpool it is" :56:

Our flight times are Madrid to Lisbon 19:00, Lisbon to Madrid 07:20.

I'm exactly the same (normally) but having done an 18 hour door to door trip from Ediburgh to Croatia at the end of the July just to save a few quid, I'm going with the most convenient option this time.

im flying out from basle on the 19th, return costing approx;70 quid, hotel costing 35 quid a night, can't beat that eh?
    now for tickets..
my experience with tickets is there are always tickets on sale at the ground a few hours before kick off if all else fails

Ive got a great price on a flight from canada out to lisbon, although I would really like to find tickets in the Celtic section. So far everything I have seen online for match tickets is upwards of 100 euro for the * seats, and it does not specify if its home or away section. I e-mailed the club but have not heard back yet. Is it a difficult/expensive process getting tickets at the Celtic end in general for away CL ties? I usually try to get at least one trip to paradise a season but have never been to a competitive away fixture, and although the atmosphere will prob be better at CP, the price of the flight is twice that of one to lisbon. The match is my main reason for the trip so it would be great to ensure getting tickets (CELTIC SECTION) somehow if anyone has any insight??
    Cheers

you guys worried with tickets dont have to be worried! Normally there are tickets available in the matchday, but if you stay tunned to www.slbenfica.pt, there will be tickets for sale there.

The away tickets will be sold to Coca-Cola stand, 3rd floor, and sector 31-32 and 33 i guess

CDG isn't in the centre of town I'm afraid there is however a good railway link into Paris. Your best bet is to get a train into Paris from the airport and then back to the airport the next day as taxi's will be expensive. Try this website:

    www.hostelbookers.com

Decent, cheap accomodation on there and as long as you stick to those with the most positive ratings then you can't go wrong.

That is excellent info for folk who don't manage a ticket from Celtic directly. Thanks,

Monday - Thursday mate. We're flying to Paris Beauvais from Edinburgh first thing on the Monday morning. There's a shuttle bus that takes you from Beauvais to CDG for about 15 Euros then from there to Lisbon on the same flight as you I'm guessing. We've got about 4/5hours to wait in CDG but it would mean you wouldn't have to stay over in Paris on the Sunday, another option for you.

Also, we're coming back Lisbon / Madrid / Edinburgh with good flight times. I just had a look and the same flight times are available on the Friday as well, £80 all in. That's mibi worth a shout to avoid having to stay in Paris on the way back as well unless that was your plan initially.

Sounds like a few of us will be on same flights on the way there. Didn't realise there is a bus from Beavais to CDG? Thought I was gonna have to get the bus to Port Maillot then underground to Guard du Nord then train to CDG... this could save a lot of hassle (although eliminate a couple of Parisian beers!)

Hi, Im new to the Forum.
I have booked to go to the Algarve leaving the Monday from Birmingham. Bit of a drive but I have a family christening on the sunday so we had to leave the Monday. Got 6am flight Birmingham to Faro. 4 Nights in a 4 star hotel in Albufeira, including transfers from the airport for £96. I couldnt believe the price. Can anyone confirm if Jinkys bar in albufeira is putting on a bus to the game. I'm pretty sure they put on buses before for Braga.
