They could issue a statement that Godzilla had just impregnated a blue whale, but until something is done about their vile Kulture then it's all just a pile of pish.

Wee Jamsie put in a shift ok...don't think anyone can argue that.....the end product is the debatable bit...from the little we've seen of Hayes i think he may get more game time than Forrest this term, but early days. The obvious caveat here may be another winger yet to come in......PLEASE!

The only thing that slightly bothers me from today is these * yellows...i just hope they don't catch up with us. Leigh's was a scandal, Broony was a bit silly tbh and Rogic was high! Armstong did react, totally understandable and i don't think that wee * got booked either for the challenge, did he?

Did we pick up anymore?...can't rmember as missus came in from work during 2nd half. Get a couple in first half at home and get these guys off the park and safe for next round!!:50:

That was a decent result for the Belfast Huns, they done much better at home against us than their younger brothers from Glasgow.

The saddest thing about that photo is not the idiots throwing bottles but the mother lifting her son up to hurl abuse.

    Where is this coming from!?

I honestly don't know, Forrest has been scoring and assisting all pre season and he takes it into today. He has been one of our top performers since coming back from the break.

Where is this "Hayes is better" coming from?

Am I mental here, am I imagining how good Forrest has been for us so far this season? and last season and the season before that until his contract talks broke down?

Just my opinion Sean....i maybe just expected more from the boy and don't feel he's kicked on the way i thought he would. Last season, from memory, he started as one of our better players then admittedly got unlucky and injured and didn't return with his early season stuff. As for Hayes..i just like what i've seen so far......just gut feeling....we'll see!!

Their keeper was what stopped it from being 7-0, credit where credits due and as much as the bottle incident is inexcusable if that's all that happened after the big song and dance about Celtic taking tickets then it could of been worse. Fair play to Grittiths giving the Hun * it right back by tieing the scarf onto the post:84:

It wasn't just one bottle it was several, and too many coiins to mention.

No credit is due to any * bigot from Linfield.

And as regards Forrest he's turned in a couple of good games every year at the start of the season including putting us in the champions league against that mob from Kazakhstan but when it comes to the crunch he can't carry it out over a season

Aye absolutlely...thought he was a lot more effective than forrest...assist mean * all, if the players don't put them away it's not an assist then ..to me Hayes was more of a threat than the wee man.

I only heard Celtic fans all game and I'm not for a second justifying what the Linfield fans done what I'm saying is that what was portraitied by the media is that it would be a full blown riot as far as I'm concerned Celtic fans and players walking away unscathed with a 2-0 win is the best case scenario

    Assists mean * all?

They mean more than no assists, which Hayes got today.

What a stroll in the park that was. Big build up to what was essentially nothing more than a glorified SPFL game at best. Writing was on the wall for me within the 1st minute, when Linfield conceded 80% of the territory to camp on the edge of their own box. I assume Healy had no access to any of our games from last season or was expecting something different from what we have shown over the last 12 months??

That wasn't a difficult game and for all the talk of a difficult atmosphere, was more intimidating listening to the Killie v Ayr game which I saw afterwards.

Any doubts over the tie should have diminished long before the 2nd goal went in. So comfortable and played well within ourselves. Hopefully in the 2nd leg we ram home our advantage more than we did tonight, because it makes them look closer to us than they actually are.

In a no contest of a game however, we had a ref who managed make a * of it. The Griffiths incident was a shambles. Whatever reason the ref deemed satisfactory to produce a yellow card for was inexcusable in the circumstances which preceded it. A glass bottle was flung at one of our players.

Come next week this mob will be assigned to the scrapheap where they belong. For me they were worse than your Partick Thistle,Ross County,Kilmarnock et al.

I struggle to understand where this notion of being a difficult opposition came from.

Trust your eyes and what you have seen from this Celtic side over the last 12 months. That is what at the very least you will see. The performance tonight may not have been stellar, but this team still has a lot more to show.
