What did Brown say about it?

And yet it still isn't ridiculoua to say we can beat them by a fair margin

It's also quite possible that the Linfield players may struggle with the occasion. Pressure from the expectant hoards could just as easily have a negative effect on performance as well.

It is possible but I would argue that the game will take on the nature of a local derby and played in front of the most hostile atmosphere any of our players will have experienced.

In such circumstances you seldom get one sided thrashings which is why the 5-1s and 6-2 against Rangers stand out for example.

Normally an overwhelmed underdog who get thrashed will be not geographically close.

Except 'local derbies', with Rodgers Celtic team, have tended to be overwhelmingly one sided.

They have been, I agree, but I think the atmosphere against Rangers - though still more passionate than any other match of the season and any match on this Island - has an air of inevitability at the moment.

We might not ever play Linfield again (I can't imagine the cringe worthy #Celticfamily being dug up and a series of friendlies!) and this will possibly be the biggest nights of their careers. Different to Rangers who we can play up to 6 times a year.

Look, let's get something straight. I will be rushing home from work on Friday to sit down with a beer or 4 and watch the match hoping we beat them 5-6 nil. I have only ever been offering an opinion as to why this may not happen but the mocking and accusations of being a troll got me on the defensive. I hope I'm proved wrong and I will be posting on here expressing how grateful I am.

Scott Sinclair alone will put 5 past these scum * after that racist bonfire display. 10-0 in Belfast, 5-0 in Glasgow.

Like I said it's because you said those thinking it could be 4/5 are ridiculous.

Personally I think it'll be similar to the Cliftonville game a few years back, comfortable win that could have been more but a bit rusty.

I'm hoping the atmosphere will wipe away any rustiness and add in a bit of ruthlessness.

Brendan, Broony, KT etc.. will make sure every player is under no illusions about what we are walking into on Friday, and it will be nowhere near as daunting as walking out at the bigotdome.

    A comfortable 0-3 at least.

I don't have to. You made a provocative statement and then proceed to imply everyone is beneath you, therefore creating drama.

It's been done a million times before pal. You people need to up your game.

My * your holding onto this Binfield argument like Grimm death. Get out of this thread and go into a team thread and give the invincibles some praise. It'll do you good.

Why should I change my opinion simply because we went unbeaten domestically last year?

Nothing in our European away form suggests that we are going to go over to Belfast and take the * in a large win.

    No it won't.

We will get a couple of early goals and that will shut the hun * up amd send them back to their shitholes to continue their drug fueled racist , bigoted hate filled party that began last night.
