surely we train on these type of pitches up at lennoxtown.

 

I don't get how they can accept this but won't allow internationals on it

Similar to some of the friendlies, somewhat to be expected. And we really do hate playing on plastic don't we?

But we need to be a little more sharper in the pass and pushing with higher tempo at least.

janko and ambrose as half our defence going into a new season is a scary * thought

 

* me that was dire...could have saved 2.5 million and kept ronny.

 

I think the pitch has a lot to answer for. But from what iv seen of us during pre season, we are still too slow in our build up play and i dont know if the brown and bitton combination add to this problem.
If we are going to be so slow on the ball then we need Roberts quality on the ball and a tall, physical target man, as we simply cannot get griffiths and dembele on the ball, in space in the final third.

 

a good team can play on any pitch and unlock the door against a team as poor as this relatively easy IMO, yes the pitch hasn't helped yes we aren't quite there with fitness and all that *, but come on? Striker on one wing? no driving force in the team charging at them barely 1 decent ball in the box pointless passing around * mee take the game to them Celtic.

 

Has anyone mentioned the pitch yet?

 

Every time players run or pass or the ball bounces you see all that rubber dust stuff fly off the ground. Shouldnt allow that in real football.

 

Ambrose should not wear a Celtic jersey and Brown has been total pish. Janko and Bitton also dissapointing.

but I don't know what you were all expecting. It's the same team we watched the whole of last season struggle to break any * down.

The real work has still to be done.

 

You'd think some of the players had never played on plastic before...I just don't buy that as an excuse, or the weather as we've been in the sun for weeks and our players should be well beyond them in terms of fitness.

Mind boggling.

 

Pitch is a disgrace, it's the same as the one at toryglen with little rubber pellets so if there is a build up in a certain area the ball just bounces about randomly. Shocking for a professional football match let alone a champions league qualifier.

 

I wonder how many thousands the bookies have raked off Tims betting ht/ft tonight..

 

We'll take at least 5 off this mob at Celtic Park
