Coming from McGowan so must be something in that.

Absolutely against loaning him out unless there is an obligation to buy in the summer. * your option. Has to be an obligation:

    I'd hate seeing him go.
He's a massive upgrade on Maeda (on the right)

I'd like to see a long spell of him and Palma running the wings.
    Can see that being lethal.

I read on KDS I think it was that Kuhn is Abada's replacement. Not writing the guy off but that's pretty grim. They seem like polar opposites.

Abada is a pretty poor all round footballer, but his movement and finishing ability is very good. Kuhn looks a good dribbler but has awful goal scoring stats. Losing Abada right now when you look at the alternatives would definitely be brutal.

We're stacked with wingers atm and most of them aren't good enough imo.

It would be crazy to make ourselves weaker, while the league is there to be won.

So our only signing of the window is going to replace a first team player who for all his failings gives us a great attacking outlet, assists and goals and is young and a financial asset?
And we're going to loan him??

    * this board - * them to * and back. And * those little GB wankstains too.

I’m not Abada’s biggest fan but to loan him at this stage given the state of our squad/back up options would be absolutely criminal.

Think as I said last week the pressure being put on the lad from home is too much from him.

If he goes on loan as many have said should be an obligation to buy but I did expect him to move this month tbh

If he does go on a loan with obligation to buy it is because he has made it clear he wants out. There is no way we would consider it otherwise.

Da fuq would we loan him out.

At his best, he's an incredible goal threat.

If he leaves then at very least he needs to go for a good few mill

There's no benefit to us to be loaning out a first team player, if there's anything in it Abada must be pushing for a move because of pressure back home.

He was gone this window as soon as McGowan broke the news a couple weeks ago.

And why are folk playing blind to the real reason saying why does it benefit us to loan him to the English Champ? It’s not about us he needs out due to the pressure in his homeland.

He’s a decent enough player, overrated by a lot but I still feel we could double or money on him getting £6m or something if his loan is good.

Wouldn't be a transfer window if we didn't manage to make a net profit with transfer dealings.

If he goes then it's essentially the 3rd window running we've come out weaker, which is shameful.

Surely to * it’s just paper talk, it would be commercial suicide to let him go in this window.

CELTIC’S Liel Abada is a loan target for clubs in the English Championship, France and Germany.

The Israeli international winger has come under sustained pressure from his homeland over the pro-Palestinian stance of sections of the Celtic support.

Despite rank-and-file fans rallying strongly behind the 22-year-old since his return from injury against Rangers last month, Abada has found the situation challenging.

With the conflict in Gaza showing no sign of relenting, a six-month loan move could offer time and space to review the situation in the summer, with promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion set to join Watford, Southampton and clubs from Ligue One in France and the German Bundesliga in asking Celtic if they would consider a short-term deal. West Brom are also exploring a move for Abada’s Parkhead team-mate Mikey Johnston.

Celtic have shown no desire to lose Abada, a player Brendan Rodgers regards as key to the second half of the season.

The Parkhead boss has placed an arm round the winger’s shoulder and, after heart to heart talks, believes he is in ‘a very good place’.

Speaking earlier this month, Rodgers acknowledged the sensitivity of the situation when he said: ‘It’s a situation as a manager where, if you care, you need to communicate with the player. You just try to understand and have empathy with the situation.

‘He’s a very young guy so he needs help and support. I’m obviously there for him. You’ll never be the player’s best friend but there are times when you have to show that side which gives them a bit of comfort and confidence to keep going. He’s settled and happy here now.’

Back in September, the winger signed a new four-year contract committing his future to Celtic until 2027.
