Yep.. what I saw of him in preseason he looked decent.. surprised if the reports are true he's not rated.. other lad looks absolutely hopeless

 

Needs a loan if he's not going to feature. Thought he looked alright in preseason.

 

Could grow into what we need in the midfield, but it’s clear he’s not in the picture.

 

Did think he played well in preseason. Surprised that Uroghide makes the bench regularly but he doesn't appear to feature, as thought he looked far more ready of the 2.

 

These fringe lads being loaned out benefits us in 2 big ways obviously the player gets game time but also strengthens another team against every other team in the league but us

Anyone know why he hasn’t featured at all given he looked (from what I heard/read) the part in pre-season? Is he not ready for the first team yet? Didn’t catch any of the pre-season games so wondered what people’s thoughts were.

Partly I'd say it's due to the position he plays, he's behind McGregor, Soro, McCarthy really, the way we've been playing largely has had more emphasis to more attacking a midfield as well weoth Turnbull and Rogic so that probably adds to it.

He has been making the bench though so I'd suspect we will see him at some point soon, hopefully in the cups especially since they're still 5 subs

 

With the lack of depth to MF, really need to start bleeding this guy in. Seen enough in preseason that he needs to be given some game time. Hopefully starting this Sunday vs Livi.

 

Start him against Raith next week or if he's on the bench and we're cruising Sunday, maybe then..

 

I’m stunned we haven’t seen more of him tbh. Thought he was outstanding in pre season.

 

Can only think Ange is selecting his strongest players in to his his system currently, but think as we head in to autumn/winter with heavier pitches he'll need to adapt. And Shaw should def be a part and get some game time. Games against bottom side Livi and Raith at home in the cup are games he must feature in imo.

 

He is obviously inexperienced but I would like to see a midfield of McGregor, Shaw and Turnbull at some point. Shaw seems like a proper box to box type midfielder, he’s strong, quite quick over the ground and tidy enough in possession. I think given the lack of box to box midfielders we have in our squad I think he is worth a go.

 

Looks big and strong and with a good engine - exactly what we need in there.

 

With way soro played he must be in Ang's thinking? And I'm a Soro fan but he really needs tought timing.

 

Ange must not rate him, Celtic paraded him as a new summer signing when he signed in January under Lennon on a pre
