Your hate for him is pathetic. Of all the * displays today you pick him out. I knew before I even looked in here it would be you slating him. Same as the match thread

 

I don't hate him at all. He's simply not good enough, like a few others in the squad.

 

I thought he was motm tbh, their chance from a corner was because flapper hart dives for a crosses that he simply catches standing up ffs.

I think we would all like better but he is far from the worst in our squad and was actually one of the better players today, not saying much mind. You just seem to single him out constantly

 

Yep I agree he's not the worst in our squad, but that's not really praise considering Bernabei was playing today and MJ was on the bench. He gave them their best chance of the game losing his runner, lost possession which CCV had to clear up after him, and he combined with Bernabei to gift County an excellent chance at an equaliser late on. On the positive side he hit a decent pass in the second half. But in pretty much every performance he takes far too much time on the ball. He'd improve massively if he released it quicker.

If folk are calling for Scales to be MOTM today it shows how poor the overall performance was imo.

 

Same, obviously not for everyone though.

 

I think the fact he's playing along side an absolute diddy like Bernabei today and Taylor other times added to him and CCV getting practically no cover from midfield I think he's doing well..

 

He's done very well at times and performed well above expectations. I just find him very frustrating and I think people overlook a lot of his mistakes because of his guts and glory style of defending.

 

It was his distribution of the ball and ability to be involved in the forward play that I thought was what made him stand out for me. Had a nice wee spell second half where he looked more like a midfielder than CB.

 

I think he's the exact type of center half Celtic need especially in the league, let's face it we are not getting a CL standard one.

He's comfortable on the ball, good going forward and has a very good distribution, decent pace. Might be prone to odd slip up but most are, Starfelt was worse IMO for complete brain farts.

He's also playing in and again my opinion one of the worst Celtic squads I've seen on a long time, constantly covering for an non existent left back with no midfield cover.

Could we do better? Yes. Is he a bad player? No

 

Will need to watch it back again but I thought it was CCV marking him.

Scales was immense today, won nearly everything in the air. I think he made one error.

 

He’s been consistently excellent for the entire season. Not sure what @Callum McGregor has against him but I don’t see it. The guys immense in my opinion. I would be more than happy to have him starting for us for years to come if he keeps playing like he’s done this season.

 

As I said you cleary dislike him.

 

Scales hasn't let us down since he came against the Tin Pots and was by no means our worst player today.

 

By no means our worst player today but anyone putting him as man of the match need their head looked at.

Clearly a player who divides the support. I, personally, would like to see Nawrocki in thag position. It’s harsh on Scales because he’s done well and he 100% has a part of play in this team but we need better.

 

Anyone wanting Liam Scales replaced is mental in my opinion.
After Matt O’Riley who’s top class btw, he’s been our best and most consistent player. Came in under pressure due to injuries whilst almost being sold due to being not wanted and has been super since.
Solid in the CL and almost every other game tbh. He’s also had to play alongside 5 different CB partners and a * Greg Taylor who’s in the middle of the pitch most the time. He will ofcourse make some mistakes, so will CCV….. it’s part of the game.
I for one am very happy with our 3 cbs right now that have been playing lately in CCV, Scales and Nawrocki. Hopefully they all stay fit.
