He was excellent today, felt like he kept it far more simple and released the ball quicker.

Won the physical duels against Olusanya today and had that goal saving challenge.

Really solid from him yesterday, he has actually had a decent start to the season

It’s clear that he’s under instruction to release the ball quicker and it’s helping a lot.

Watched most of the first half and noticed a few times when he’s on the ball that Schmiechel was giving him plenty of advice on his distribution ie hurry up and get rid of it ffs!!

Think a lot of people are forgetting that he was really good last year to begin with, before we tired him out with the number/intensity of games, and he faded out as the season went on but we couldn't replace him with better from the squad. I've said before, this will be a make or break season for him with us, if he's progressed and gained the experience to maintain his spot in the squad, or just repeats and fades out.

I'm interested to see if he's up to holding a squad place, but I'm pretty sure if he's called on to do a 40ish game season we'll all be pulling our hair out with him by March/April, and during some truly torrid CL games

Yeah, thought he was great yesterday. As others have suggested, seems like his distribution has gotten a lot faster, which is a big plus.

I still want and expect us to sign a centre back before the window closes but he’s started the season very well, the lad.

He’s had a very, very good start to the season. As far as domestic games go it won’t get much tougher that that yesterday, honking conditions and up against rugby players and he looked strong as *. Plus as has been pointed out he’s releasing the ball much quicker now which is really helping us.

Still murder for me, weight of passing and accuracy of it 9 times out of 10 never good. Always short and behind people, still always passing to guys under pressure when he shouldn't be.

Plus he always looks like he has to play out of his skin just to do his job.

A centre-back for us should be able to pass it well and not have to break sweat in the League defensively as they should be quick enough to catch anyone they are up against and clever enough never to be caught out massively and need to dig themself out a hole.

Thought he was very good. Best game in a while and certainly in the early going of this season.

He's a fine backup and left footed plus an emergency LB. He's never a starter for us. I also do think he's still got development in him so zero issues retaining him.

Thought he was excellent at the weekend tbh. Against some big, strong and fast players.

Need another CB in but credit where its due.

Strong performance, can't fault him at all, Trusty should have a hard time getting in if he keeps playing like that
