No physicality about him whatsoever. Continually bailed out by CCV.

I can't wait until I don't have to see him play for us any more.

Embarrassing and no surprise just how much they targeted him and Taylor all day..

    Both of them are pathetic..

Starting to look like the weak point in defence now.

See if we win the league btw, just remember that Scales was excellent the first half of the season - thereby part of a title winning team on merit.

That being said, whatever the *'s happened to him since then he is absolutely woeful.

Starting to feel that him being on the ball so much is more about our other players than him. CCV did at least
He's got some competition to be fair.

Actually didn't think he was that bad today compared to last week. Couple of good clearances, even his passing for me was better this week. Problem we have is he has to carry it too far as the midfield gave him no great options and so few other players show for it, and when they do they pass it straight back to him.

He's contributed massively. He was at his best when we were at our worst is another thing going for his performances this season, including being the main CB when CCV was out. Without those early performances we'd be well and truly * - to just restate your point @Mr. Slippyfist

I honestly thought he was quite solid today, passing was good had a couple of important interventions. Won most of his headers too.

    Good man.

Scales seems to be an easy target the now for most folk. Unfortunately that also includes opposition players cause he's.
making it FAR too easy for them.

Such a weird player. He looks absolutely dominant attacking aerial balls anywhere on the pitch bar the opposition area, and most importantly his own box.

When people were shouting about how well he was playing I couldn't see what others were seeing. He was making far too many mistakes and gifting teams chances back then as well.

When we were winning games his mistakes were overlooked. Now his mistakes are regularly costing us goals and problems people are noticing.

He was never good, he was steady but frustrtating, now he's less steady and * you off more because he's been playing too much.

Loads of things he does like clear the ball into the stand, you think Starfelt was quick enough there he'd have controlled that ball and been comfortable knowing he can control a ball and turn and pass it but Scales just does the basics. Facing his own goal running back with someone pressuring him he'll kick it out the park 9 times out of 10, where as Celtic standard defenders should be comfortable at playing their way out of danger.

Worst for me is how when the ball is passed to him, the way he recieves it and then stutters as he begins to walk with it and then he lifts his head then to check whats happening, when he's took about 5 touches of the ball already then he runs somewhere with it pauses and lifts his head to look again.

Can tell he's just not a naturally skilled confident footballer, he's thinking too much about controlling the ball and then what to do with it that it all looks clunky and slow.

When a Celtic players waiting on a pass he should have everthing mapped out around him and already have planned what he's doing not reacting once in possession.

Wasn't that bad today and far from the worst..

The fact he has Taylor beside him who is an empty jersey defending wise, he done fairly well..

Out the two though you'd say Taylor is the one being hampered more by having Scales there.

If that was Starfelt or Boyata someone with pace who could defend breakaways quite easy, Taylor would probably be more relaxed and able to get forward and link play and offer more in attack.

With Scales there though then you can't gamble too much going forward as he's too mediocre on the ball he gives it away often and then he's not fast or comfortable enough when left to defend a counter that leaving him more exposed has the whole team rattled probably.

Taylor is a weak link also defensively but you can get away with that in a full-back if the centre-back is decent but it's two weak guys playing together and then we are attacking that bad that one of our full-backs who should do more going forward can't get doing much because of the guy behind him.

Neither are good enough going forward mate.. both hinder everything around them defensively but I didn't think Scales was that bad today, Taylor offers absolutely nothing..

His best game in a while today, hopefully he can build on it and hold his form for the run in.

He made a couple of good interceptions/clearances today, and got an important touch on that low ball that shot across the box in the second-half, but he’s like an octopus with the ball at his feet tbf.

Taylor and AJ are just as bad added to a keeper that can't come for a cross..

We need 4 of our back 5 replaced in the summer.. has anyone any confidence in that happening? I certainly dont
