He came in at a time when we really struggled in that area. To the extent he has kept everyone else out of the side. A bit of appreciation wouldn't have went amiss. He's nowhere near as bad as some fans make out - bomb scare, not good enough, slow etc.

And all areas of our team need upgraded. Europe tells us that, and some of our games domestically. Taylor has been more than decent for us and gets constantly slaughtered. Hart was a scapegoat till the start of the year and has been the one player who has kept us in the race.

But fans want someone to hate on.

His performances lately haven't been at the same level though.. some of the criticism is over the top but so was some of the praise he got earlier. Think people were just surprised he was doing the things you'd expect from a Celtic CB..

Overall he's done well.. but we've spent poorly at CB with Nawrocki and Lagerbielke.

The left side of the defence is weak and Hart is retiring.. it is the weakest area of the squad.

Scales is fine when he's just got to defend, but his use of the ball is horrible. He sees a chance to make a good forward pass, thinks about it too long, bottles out of it, then goes for the easy short pass once the opposition are ready to close it down. Drives me up the wall.

Liam Scales is also set to miss the visit of Stephen Robinson's side

May be a blessing he is not available tomorrow as he has been rotten for the last 3 months after a brilliant start to the season.

I have been massively critical of Scales but we were just looking to have a settled back line for the run in. It has to be Nawrocki at the weekend for me. If he plays well then he should be the starter alongside CCV

Absolutely not a blessing in disguise or a result. No matter what you think of him as a player.

Aye, we struggle for a consistent back 4, same all season..

Chance for hopefully Nawrocki tho, thought he and CCV looked good together earlier in the season.

He may go with Welsh tho.

Wouldn't celebrate a player being injured but this could be blessing if Nawrocki is finally given his chance next to CCV

I never wish an injury on any player, but recently I've thought Scales was a bit of a weak spot.

I'm not overly bothered about scales missing the next game or 2 . That being said, he wasn't a weak spot against rangers, defensively anyway.

Have we managed to play the same back 4 for even 3 games in a row, for 90 minutes this season?

I’m looking forward to seeing Nawrocki partner CCV but I also hope scales is back available next week as even if he’s not starting we need him in our squad. A knock to Nawrocki or CCV we’d be in big trouble

He has fell off a bit last wee while, but bad enough to dismiss the importance of having a settled back 4 for the run in? I don't think so, we've seen all season the problems of bringing in defenders out the cold. Plus don't think Nawrocki has justified yet the faith some seem to have in him.

I count this as a major blow tbh.

Everyone thinking Nawrocki gonna get his chance now.

Just wait for a Brendan special.... he'll start Ralston there

Pretty sure it will be Welsh. Was Nawrocki even on the bench last week? Welsh certainly was.

With all due respect we are watching a different game if you think he’s been “* brilliant” in near enough any game this season. The majority of the time he looks like he has done something well it’s covering up his own mistake through positioning or overly safe playing out which often pressing traps catch.

We clearly don’t agree but he is not at the level at all for me.

Have nothing but praise for how he's stepped up this year but anyone thinking he is starting level is kidding themselves. Fine as a squad player but no more.
