Fine for a while but getting a bit tedious now. He's also not stopped playing for us for what feels like an age now so I agree with a comment above that he's probably also fatigued.

All of our defenders look so much worse when CCV isn’t beside them. Huge drop off from him to the rest.

Have seen enough of Scales now to conclude we absolutely need better in that position. He’s a squad player and that’s it.

We’ve got that used to it this year we’ve kind of forgotten how important a settled backline is. Even down to things that are very important but rarely acknowledged like a goalkeeper in behind being very used to how guys will play infront of him, and has no hesitation or questions about how the guys infront of him will react to situations and if he’ll come out off the line or stay etc.

Have we had 4 games in a row this year playing the same back 4? I can’t think of a spell

He’s clearly the best option next to CCV. We desperately need them to get a run together. Honestly think people are sleeping with just how much Scales has carried the back 4 this season, he’s held a bit part defence held together and stepped up when he’s been needing to, it’s taken a toll now. CCV being next to him and everything settled, 2/3 games together will be a monumental difference.

Also no proof of this but Welsh today looked far from fully fit, he was moving very awkwardly, and sluggish. And it wouldn’t be the first time this season he’s been asked to play when not fully fit.

The last month he has looked really poor, such a shame as he has had a good season but now only looks good enough as a backup.

There is * all to replace him or Welsh with currently if CCV is out he clearly doesn't fancy Nawrocki or Lagerbielke and if I was Lager I'd be telling the manager to bolt regardless

Rumours are when we held back his move in January for backup when CCV had a setback, Lagerbielke pretty much did. So * him, for one, he’s * and when him playing was fresher in our memory everybody thought Welsh was a major upgrade.

And 2, looking at how Welsh was moving today, I don’t think he was fit and has been asked to play through it. Not for the first time this season.

it's the square balls he plays across that are always 3-4 yards behind the man instead of to feet or in front so they can carry the ball. Its infuriating.

Him and Welsh struggle with any striker who's over 5 foot 7

However that header he made at the side of the park that eventually led to the 3rd goal was superb. Would be unfair to completely criticize.

If he starts next year for us I'll lose my mind.

He’s been poor last few games. This is first season playing at this level though with this intensity and think he’s played every game has he? Could deffo do with a rest but unfortunately our other cb’s keep getting * injured.

Touch touch touch touch touch. Release the * ball. He has had a good season, but he should not be a starter for us. He should be a squad player.

We need a better ball playing defender. Scales has been the best of a bad bunch (Welsh, Nawrocki, Lagerbielke) but I thinks he is a (big) step down from Starfelt. We definitely need to be looking at a new centre back in the summer.

Liam Scales will miss the game we think, he's picked up a knock in training. He's been so robust and everything about him has been great since he came into the team. So sadly he misses this game because he's played virtually every other minute. He should be back after the international break

We could do with as many player available as possible, but I think it would be good to see someone else getting a chance.

His form has dipped lately. Could be because he's been carrying an injury.

Has to be CCV and Welsh tomorrow with Lagerbielke coming on for CCV when we're comfortably ahead (fingers crossed, toes crossed, eyes crossed, balls crossed).

Him being out is good for us, let's be honest. His passing is * horrendous, must be the worst in recent times for us.

Unless he's in a backs to the wall type game, defending and clearing the box, he's of * all use to us.

He too is injured? Fuuuuck. I know he and Welsh struggled, but he and CCV should be our go-to pairing. Ach, well. Lagerbielke redemption arc has been hinted at by the Celtic Way, so...
